Without clinging to any extreme, it transcends the calculation of right and wrong. There are three reasons for establishing liberation in the freedom from extremes: reasoning, scripture, and logic. Reasoning is based on the reasoning of the self-nature of non-dependence, because not depending on anything is being free from extremes, so it does not abide in any extreme. Therefore, this is called the view of not focusing on the middle, free from extremes. The scriptural reason is that in the scripture of great power and perfect qualities, it says, "Because of being free from extremes, it is called liberation." The logical reason is based on the logic that knowing one liberates all, because knowing one thing to be free from extremes, one is liberated from all appearances and imputations, because one does not depend on anything. The way of liberation is: not abiding in the extreme of existence, one is liberated from the extreme of non-existence; not abiding in the extreme of non-existence, one is liberated from the extreme of existence; not abiding in both existence and non-existence, one is liberated from both; not being both, one is liberated from not being both. Fifth, relying on the key of the unparalleled one liberation, it shows without remainder the dependence on skillful means and wisdom. One refers to the Great Perfection, the single bindu, which is free from elaboration, and in this state, one is liberated, so all extremes of numerous quantities are exhausted. There are four aspects of the key to the unparalleled one liberation: the understanding of one liberation, the reasons for establishing one liberation, the way of one liberation, and the analogy. The understanding of one liberation is: liberation is not reasonable either, because there is nothing other than liberation in one. Therefore, for awareness, it is originally beyond the words of liberation and non-liberation. There are three reasons for establishing one liberation: reasoning, scripture, and logic. The reason of reasoning is: all liberations are not different, because there is nothing other than one, so it is called liberation, and the only one is awareness itself. Because it is not merely self-aware awareness, there is no other dharma. The scriptural reason is that in the Essence of Gold it says: "The mind-essence of the uniquely liberated, is of one taste in its multiplicity." The reason of logic is: it is established by knowing one, all are liberated, because knowing one awareness, one is liberated from all of samsara and nirvana. The way of liberation is: by recognizing the self-nature in the nature of reality, all appearances and awareness are liberated. The analogy is: for example, if the taste of one salt is determined, the taste of all salts is determined, so the many are of one taste.

Is to know. Thus, these five ways of liberation are not considered for the same person, but rather, according to the differences in their faculties, each is liberated according to their own preference. Third, summarizing the meaning with the certainty of examples has three aspects: being free from a basis of dependence, certainty of the example, and completely showing the meaning. First, these five ways of liberation are free from a basis of dependence: self-liberation, where all conditions are self-liberated by conditions, and therefore are free from dependence on the view, meditation, and conduct of the Dharma; primordial liberation, where all objects are liberated by objects, and therefore are free from dependence on the union of grasping and being grasped; sudden liberation, where the nature of cause is liberated by cause, and therefore does not depend on either samsara or nirvana; and ultimate liberation, where all phenomena are liberated by phenomena, and therefore do not depend on conventional words. One liberation, where the nature of mind is liberated by the nature of mind, and therefore does not depend on the indicative intellect. As it says in the Garland of Pearls: Since all conditions are liberated by conditions, I do not depend on the Dharma of focus. Since all objects are liberated by objects, I do not depend on the two, grasping and being grasped. Since the nature of cause is liberated by cause, I do not depend on the two, samsara and nirvana. Since all phenomena are liberated by phenomena, I do not depend on conventional words. Since the nature of mind is liberated by the nature of mind, I do not depend on the indicative intellect. So it is. Second, the certainty of the example: self-liberation, where the originally pure awareness liberates the originally pure, is like washing dirt with dirt; primordial liberation is like destroying poison with poison; sudden liberation is like cutting iron with iron; one liberation is like breaking stone with stone; and ultimate liberation is like burning wood with the fire of wood. As it says in that same tantra: Just as dirt is washed with dirt, likewise, purity is liberated by purity. And destroying poisons with poison, and cutting irons with iron, and breaking stones with stone, and like burning woods with wood. Each enemy is made by oneself, not liberated by a different kind. So it is. Third, the way of completing the meaning: in primordial liberation, appearances, the ground, and all objects are primordially complete; in self-liberation, the basis of delusion, the path, and what is to be known are complete in their own place; in one liberation, the result, causes and conditions, and the nature of phenomena are complete in their own place; in ultimate liberation, samsara and nirvana, tantras and agamas, and being without beginning or end at one time are complete; in sudden liberation, the pith instructions and
