Being in my tradition means there is no addition or subtraction. Thus, when body, speech, and mind settle into their own nature and the mind itself is naturally at ease, it is called liberation. Since it always remains in that state, it is superior to the common vehicle. Therefore, the example of liberation is like the fruit of Āli Kāli, which is already ripe and does not need to ripen further. Or like gold, which is already yellow and does not need to become more yellow. There are three aspects of primordial liberation: the understanding of primordial liberation, the justification for establishing it, and the manner of liberation. The understanding of primordial liberation is not something sudden, but since it has been liberated from the beginning, the key point that there is no need to liberate again now arises from the fact that awareness itself has never been deluded. There are three justifications for establishing primordial liberation: the justification of reason, the justification of scripture, and the justification of logic. The justification of reason is that the key point of the liberation of awareness itself from the beginning is: since awareness has no basis, it is irreversible; since it has no root, it has no place of origin; since it has no characteristics, it cannot be determined by words and concepts; since it has no arising, there is no liberation. Thus, as a sign of primordial liberation, no matter what practice is done, no characteristics are seen. This is established by the reasoning of no trace of cause and effect, since awareness has no cause, it has no effect, and karma and its ripening cannot exist. The justification of scripture is: From the Sutra of Meaningful Exertion: The nature of mind, liberated from the beginning, how could there be an external cause of liberation? Thus. The justification of logic is established by the logic of entrusting disappearance and self-establishment, since the place of entrustment is liberated from the beginning, it is liberated in itself, because it is liberated from the beginning. Thus, the key point that the mind has no place of origin, no place of dwelling, and no place of going, therefore it is known to be primordially liberated. The manner of liberation is that since the mind is empty, there is no such thing as liberation or non-liberation, it is merely a nominal designation, as a sign of primordial liberation, there is no need to liberate again now, because the mind itself is primordially enlightened, therefore it is known that primordial liberation has nothing to liberate. Two, Self-liberation, based on the key point of having no antidote, is shown without relying on the instructions of the lama, thus, all phenomena of appearance and sound, although they arise, arise from themselves, and although they are liberated, they are self-liberated. For example, like the sky and clouds, or like the ocean and waves. In this

Therefore, unlike flawed methods such as meditation, views, and behaviors that rely on other places, the so-called "liberation of meaning" refers to the exhaustion of Dharma. There are three aspects to self-liberation: the understanding of self-liberation, the validity of self-liberation, and the manner of self-liberation. The understanding of self-liberation is the meaning of having no antidote, that is, appearance itself is self-liberated from appearance, and there is no Dharma nature other than appearance. Similarly, emptiness and so on are liberated by themselves, and there is no other liberation. For example, just as a drunk person is conquered by alcohol, poison is conquered by poison, and iron is cut by iron, afflictions themselves are liberated by themselves, hence the name self-liberation. There are three ways to establish the validity of self-liberation: established by reason, established by scripture, and established by logic. Established by reason is established by the reason of Dharma nature, because all liberation is self-liberation, so it is established as not being liberated by others. If it were liberated by others, then it would be unreasonable for one object to appear in different forms, because knowledge itself is contradictory in essence to other things. Just as the initial characteristic object is determined, self-liberation is also reasonable. Established by scripture, it is said in the Mind Section Sutra: "Liberation is self-born, not from others." Established by logic is: great self-liberation is established and reasonable by the irrefutable logic. Like this, appearance is self-liberated, because it does not depend on other antidotes. The manner of liberation is: there is no other than oneself liberating oneself, and other treatises also say that the greedy are liberated by taking greed as the path, and appearance is liberated from appearance itself, and there is no other cause or condition for liberation other than appearance. That which is liberated in that which, because there is no basis for abiding, there is no foundation. The nature of mind without foundation itself, except for itself, has no place to retreat, no place to liberate, so it has not experienced birth. There is no place from where it came, because that which has no other Dharma that is not itself, so it is called self-liberation. For example, just as a snake's knot unties itself without anyone untying it. Third, relying on the key points of Trekchö and Tögal, showing without relying on transmission and scriptures, liberation immediately upon directly seeing is like mother and child
