From now on, the key is to look without closing your eyes. For example, in the ocean, the images of stars and so on appear clearly, but the ocean is not stained by them. Although they appear in the field of appearance, they cannot be grasped. Similarly, these external appearances, although they appear in front of your eyes in their own place, awareness should not be lost on the appearance. Do not let the appearance steal awareness, but in its own place, clear and without conceptualization, awareness flows, and remaining without wavering is called meditation like the empty sky of appearance. As it says in 'Without Letters': From the beginning, unmade, spontaneously arising, naturally abiding. Not transformed by appearance, not fabricated by mind. Abiding in the sky, it reveals the intention itself. The wisdom of the Dharmakaya, abandoning all thoughts. If there is no movement, it is the intention of meditation. If you do not grasp the objects of focus, it is like stars appearing in the ocean. The unceasing clarity of non-grasping is the way to abide in intention. Thus it is said. In 'Lion's Strength Perfected' it says: The Dharmakaya without conceptualization is separate from reality. Unmade, self-luminous, one's own samadhi is clear. In the state of non-grasping and non-conceptualization, everything is complete. Thus it is said. Avoiding the pitfalls: In the 'Extremes' it says: The meditation that abides without error is when the doors of the senses are clear, the mind's conceptualization is not distracted, the mind focuses on awareness itself, and does not stray outwards. It is not a clear appearance with characteristics, nor has it become a cut-off emptiness, nor is it an interruption of happiness, nor has it become an indifferent stupor, nor is it a clear rest of mindfulness, nor has the practice become a wrong path, the grasping part flows comfortably inwards, the grasping part with clear appearance, colors, letters, transformations, etc., if they do not fall into these aspects, it is the meditation that abides without error. Thus it is said. That is to say, awareness is not stained by appearance, appearance is not cut off by awareness, but is clear and free from elaboration. As it says in that very text: In the nature of emptiness and clarity, awareness, the self-nature is not mixed with anything, the extremes of grasper and grasped are exhausted, and the nature of reality is pure in itself. Thus it is said. Having meditated in this way, shamatha and vipashyana are united, and the equal and subsequent are merged, which is the intention of the basis of existence, and here it has become the basis, therefore, the phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana, the elaboration of conceptual speculation is cut off, and whatever appears, whatever arises, everything naturally abides in the nature of reality. As it says in 'Six Spaces': Without sinking or rising,

On the nature of mind. The meditation of great equanimity is, The meditation of relaxing the six aggregates, I, Samantabhadra, have thus taught. On the nature of mind without fear, The appearance free from hope and doubt is, The view of original abiding with confidence, I, Samantabhadra, have thus taught. Thus it is said. At this time, as afflictions increase, the aspect of self-purification of afflictions dawns as wisdom, and all phenomena of appearance-attachment dawn as the play of the Dharmakaya. From that very source: On the nature of mind, the appearance of consciousness, The number of afflictions are purified in their own place. Thus it is said. At this time, if a name is given to that person, it is called the time of abiding in the Dharma. All phenomena of samsara and nirvana abide on one's own intelligence without learning. That very thing, without separating or distinguishing, abiding in its own place is called meditation. Third, in the yoga of continuous practice of view, there are also five: view cutting off the city, instructions like a mountain abiding, view liberating the three realms, afflictions purifying in their own place, and the time when the individual abandons the Dharma. First, there are two types of view: the general view and one's own view. The general one is holding onto mental discrimination. In the Uttaratantra, it says: On the tenets of each of the eight orders, Holding onto mental discrimination is what is desired. Thus it is said. The view of the great liberation of the spontaneously perfect, great expanse is: by looking at the general phenomena, whatever appears is liberated as the play of Dharmata, and spontaneously arises in the Dharmata of emptiness and non-duality. In the Self-Arisen Awareness, it says: When phenomena appear as characteristics, Because the power of the eye is not obstructed, The view of the mind is excellent. One's own awareness is clear, The magical appearance of the outer is, On the nature of non-conceptual clarity, If one knows it as the great self-born, That is the view of looking at phenomena. Thus it is said. Internally, by looking at Dharmata, it is free from duality and extremes, and seeing one's own mind as the great unborn, it is also said in that very source: On the unborn nature of Dharmata awareness, Conceptual characteristics are naturally absent, On awareness without affirmation or negation, Where would clinging behavior exist? Those who wish to realize Dharmata, Should know it in the nature of non-action. Thus it is said. Secretly, by looking at awareness, it is seen as primordial purity, without extremes, stainless, like the sky. In that very source, it says: The awareness free from action and agent is, If it does not fall into any direction, It is called great meditation. That also, the way to realize it is like this,
