Wind and mind are mixed together, therefore wind accomplishes all actions. Thus it is said. For a while, relying on the relative bindu, with the desire to become enlightened, with a vidya who is complete with characteristics, definitely begin the union of attraction, with the object of reliance, oneself and the channels, and with the object of focus, perfect the body. Then, the relative bindu itself, descend, hold, and reverse, fix it in the channels and mix it with the wind, make emptiness and cut off subsequent thoughts with wisdom, reverse the order of body and mind. Thus it is said. These should be known for a while as instructions. Third, there are two aspects to holding the mind of gods and humans: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. The first is from the Lamp Illuminating: With the mind-holding of gods and humans, holding various signs, the key to the body is the lotus posture, the key to the breath is inhaling, the key to awareness is the tip of the nose. Thus it is said. From Rangshar: The mind-holding of gods and humans, after closing the breath of the mouth and nose, non-conceptual mind merges into the mind, awareness is the nature of one-pointedness, it is said to be without immediate conceptualization. Thus it is said. The second has two parts: training in gross and subtle objects of focus. The first is to hold the mind on the objects of each of the six consciousnesses, that is, to allow whatever conceptual thoughts arise in the forms, sounds, smells, tastes, tactile sensations, and dharmas to arise, and without being distracted in that state, to recognize the nature of it, and to meditate by identifying the interval between the previous and subsequent thoughts. That is, to hold awareness focused on whatever arises in the objects of the six consciousnesses. In the commentary on the Ornament of Clear Realization, "Refutation of Other Tenets," it says: This is the key to practice, the nature of the object of focus and the place of thought. The object of focus is sound, smell, taste, and touch, training in the realm of the five desires. Form is colors and shapes, and the differences of crafts and arts, and the various kinds of dazzling appearances. Sound is the lute and the buzzing of bees, and the mandolin, pottery drum, flute, panpipe, and hala, etc. Smell is a fragrant mixture, made with a pleasing and profound dependent arising. Taste is sugarcane with six flavors combined, and various mixtures of grape wine, made with the combination of dependent arising branches. Touch is the combination of a wise person on a bed, the arising combination of crossed bows, and with some leaves of a tree, just by touching, the mind abides in the nature of dharma without separation or union. Mind is holding and abiding.

Finding the place, cutting off the root, chasing after things, searching between the object and consciousness, these are all lost due to distraction. Thus it is said. The second is to learn the subtle, which is to learn the distinctions of the six consciousnesses, the Dharma of the object of mind. This has two aspects: generally showing the categories, and recognizing the nature of the present moment. The first is, from the Union of Sun and Moon it says: By focusing the mind on the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), the clinging to things will return to its place. By focusing the mind on the deity of the generation stage, the impurities of the body will be purified. With the Vajra song of speech, it will satisfy his mind. By focusing the mind on the letter Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ), the impurities of his speech will be eliminated. Whoever holds the mind on the letter Raṃ (Tibetan: རཾ, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal meaning: Raṃ), will purify all his things. Whoever abides in the letter Ha (Tibetan: ཧ, Devanagari: ह, Romanized Sanskrit: ha, Literal meaning: Ha), will exhaust all ignorance. Whoever's mind abides in Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Devanagari: फट, Romanized Sanskrit: phaṭ, Literal meaning: Phaṭ), he will abandon the harm to body and speech. Whoever meditates on the bindu between the eyebrows, this will make him accustomed to the prana. Whoever holds the mind on the cause of the central channel, he will block the doors of the senses. Whoever meditates on the meaning of the tip of the nose, will gather the increasing elements back to their place. Whoever meditates on the self-light of the body's support, this will make him accustomed to the Bardo ground. Whoever throws the mind into the sky, this will make him accustomed to emptiness. Whoever holds the mind in the ear, this will allow him to enjoy all sounds as he wishes. Whoever holds the mind in the heart, this will make his thoughts return to their place. Whoever abides in emptiness, this will stop the clinging to things. Whoever meditates on emptiness Hadapo, all thoughts will be emptied at once. Whoever combines the mind with non-discrimination, this will reverse the clinging to samsara. If you hold the mind on the five elements, then the minds of the body will arise. Whoever meditates on non-discriminating wisdom, this will stop the clinging to signs. Whoever meditates on the bliss of the two entrances, this will make desire a path. Whoever makes space a path, this will also gain mastery over the mind. Thus it is said. Determining the key points of those places and practices is: From the Decisive it says: With the twenty-one stages of mind-holding, the first is to place it in the place, the second is to separate body and mind, and the third is to see the nature of reality. At this time, the key points of body, speech, and mind, the yogi should settle them properly. And the key points of mixing, throwing, and gathering with the horse of the moving prana, if the wise rely on them, the mind's thoughts will
