All have reached the standard. It is said. The key to taking those meanings to heart and determining them is to have two aspects: preliminary practices and the main practice. The first is examination, which has three keys: examination, subjugation, and recognition of habitual patterns. Examination involves slowing down for a few days, massaging, and lying down on the right side at night to examine dreams. Also, if you cannot recognize from the confusion, then subjugation is to concentrate the mind on the red ĀḤ (藏文,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:ā,汉语字面意思:Ah) at the throat and sleep without distraction, which makes it easier to be clear and recognize. Recognition of habitual patterns is: if you dream mostly of objects of attachment from the past, it means that the habitual patterns of past attachment are strong, so transformation is difficult, of medium ease. If you dream mostly of the present, it is very easy, and you can master this by meditating for three or four days. If you dream of places you have never been to before, and meeting people you have never met, etc., all three are mixed up, it is called a mixture of three habitual patterns, which is very difficult to cut off. The main practice of meditation has eight aspects: training in dreams, transforming, cutting off, agitating, restraining, throwing into the key point, guarding, and averting. First, training is: during the day, do not be distracted from the desire for dreams, focus single-mindedly on it, and train whatever appears as a dream. After recognizing the dream in the dream, you should learn to train everything as a dream. Transformation is: during the day, transform different images in the mirror from one to another, transforming all appearances into the form of deities, etc. When doing this, in dreams too, transform those appearances from horses into elephants, etc., and transform them into Buddha-fields and the forms of deities. Cutting off is cutting off the clinging to reality. During the day, do not cling to even the mere appearance of dreams as real. After recognizing the dream in the dream, do not be happy about being able to train and transform, but think that everything is unreal and without reliance, and immediately cut off all attachment to anything. Agitating is practicing skills, transforming the appearance of the east into the west in an instant, and the appearance of the west into the east. Transforming happiness into unhappiness, non-thought into thought, and thought into non-thought, etc. Restraining is making it stable. Look at the experience of that time, and without losing that state, recognize it internally and meditate. Throwing into the key point is mixing it with the meaning of realization. In the liberation of appearance, without distinction, Sharara Ra

Practice all appearances of dreams and daytime without distraction. Abiding is meditating in the natural state, that is, in the state of having practiced dreams as unreal and immediately liberated, abiding single-pointedly in that state for a long time and meditating. Reversing is reversing into the nature of reality, that is, putting aside all appearances of daytime, dreams, and views and meditations, not thinking of anything, and letting them dissolve into the vast sky of emptiness, the original purity, in their own self-arisen nature. Having done this, at first diligence is strong, mindfulness is medium, and clarity is clear. Finally, with joy and happiness, dreams gradually cease, and dreams are liberated into luminosity, and day and night are mixed in the samadhi of the nature of reality. At this time, the body has no shadow, and one can clearly see the tiny particles, and like the appearance of a shadow, they appear as unreal. One has gone to the self-liberation of the bardo. As it says in the *Madhyamakavatara*: "Train in the illusory body and dreams. Even the body that is mastered will become like the appearance of a shadow. Then the intermediate state body will be held in these self-natures." So it is. At this time, the practice of luminosity based on sleep is also said in the same tantra: "If you practice the meditation of sleep, by mastering it, there is no day or night, and external appearances are clear, and with this, great luminosity is accomplished." There are two of these. The first, the general practice of luminosity, is that during the daytime, after adjusting the body's key points and the breath's key points, the awareness is clear and bright, and one meditates openly. At night, one sleeps in the lion's posture, and at the moment of falling asleep, one sleeps in the state of recognizing the non-conceptual luminosity, without any dreams, abiding in that state, seeing the nearby appearances, but not changing any thoughts or judgments, abiding in this. If one falls asleep, then it is certain that the appearances will be clear and bright in each of their own ways. If one does not fall asleep, then distraction will arise. At this time, the appearance of the five lights and the appearance of bindus, rays, and like a butter lamp are also clearly seen, and this is called the luminosity of appearance. Awareness that is clear and bright is the luminosity of emptiness, abiding in the three: bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality. There are four specific meditations that combine the key points of luminosity: in the evening, gather the senses into their places; at midnight, place the knowable into the vase; at dawn, make wisdom clear; and during the day,
