Through lands, intelligence, and winds, in order to grasp Dharmata on the path, through the perfection of wisdom, Dharmata is... this is also the key of the lamp. The key is the unwavering movement of the far-reaching lasso, which is combined with the three perspectives of time. Thus it is said. Secondly, regarding the expanded explanation of the lamp of the empty bindu, there are thirteen aspects: essence, definition, characteristics, divisions, support, location, object, gate, nature, measure, entity, example, and key. The essence is abiding in the self-illuminating, primordially pure emptiness, in its own resonance. From the blazing lamp: The lamp of the empty bindu is, through faith in all dharmas, whoever knows this, enjoys the body of the bindu, and attains the realm of practice of the practitioners. Therefore, its essence is: unique, subtle, free from elaboration, boundless emptiness, greatly self-illuminating, nature itself is self-illuminating equality, non-conceptual, free from elaboration, abiding in roundness. Because it is uncreated and perfects the four freedoms, red self-illumination is primordially pure. Immaculate and primordially pure, it is free from self-grasping bonds and afflictions. Self-illuminating by itself, the essence is emptiness. This is considered its essence. Thus it is said. The definition is: In the Garland of Pearls it says: Bindu is unchanging, Le is pervasive and appears in the object, emptiness has no thing or sign, the lamp dispels darkness and becomes manifest. Thus it is said. In the former text it also says: Bindu is unchanging and upright, primordially free from fabrication, Le is a great expansion, all appearances are perfectly complete in their own place. Emptiness grasps things, obstructing minds attached to objects, the nature of emptiness is vast, in clarity, self-grasping minds do not appear. The lamp makes the five lights appear, thereby making self-nature clear and aware. These are the definitive words. Thus it is said. The characteristic is: Any bindu of light of any color is self-illuminating, round, and free from pain. In the commentary on the Ornament of Clear Realization it says: The characteristic of the empty bindu is: round and nature completely bright, red and clear, the light of clear color, spreading with elaboration. Thus it is said. In the Blazing Lamp it says: The characteristic is that emptiness pervades with clarity, the boundaries of the self-nature body all disappear. Thus it is said. The divisions are five: The empty bindu of the ground-abiding awareness resides in the heart, the empty bindu of the body-abiding channels resides in the channels, the conventional cause bindu resides in the Roma, the ultimate

The bindu of non-elaboration abides solely in emptiness. The bindu of self-arisen fruit abides in the eye. These, too, are merely distinctions because their own essence is originally empty, belonging to the category of empty bindus. In reality, they only become two in relation to the two eyes. As the "Burning Lamp Tantra" states: "Distinction itself is of five aspects. The root abides in its own bindu, uniting samsara and nirvana into one. The body abides in the bindu of the channels, uniting happiness and suffering into one. The conventional cause abides in the bindu of cause, the cause and condition for generating the aggregates and mind, uniting the aggregates, elements, etc., into one. The ultimate non-elaborate bindu unites the expanse and awareness into one. The bindu of self-arisen fruit unites the intentions of all Buddhas into the expanse free from effort and accomplishment." Thus it is said. The support is: The essence relies on the two, light and channels. The appearance relies on the five wisdoms. The form relies on the clear bindu. The movement relies on the self-abiding wind. The object relies on the empty space. The place relies on the center of the eye. The source relies on the consciousness that determines and sees. As the "Reversal Tantra" states: "The support of the empty bindu is the consciousness itself, and space, channels and wind, and bindu, and wisdoms, on which it relies." Thus it is said. The place is: The place of the essence is the heart. The place of the radiance is the two eyes. As the "Burning Lamp Tantra" states: "In the center of the bodies of all sentient beings, from the precious palace of citta." Thus it is said. The object is: The appearance of the five lights, and the half-body arising from them, and the single body, and the father and mother, and the assembly, and the mandala, and the six appearances of the great mandala, and the nirmanakaya from the sambhogakaya, and the three rays emanating from it, and the two, peaceful and wrathful, and the forms of the six Thubpas, all appearing as objects, are clear because of the purity of space, and warm because of the purity of fire, and cool because of the purity of water, and light because of the purity of earth, and have the nature of moving because of the purity of wind. As the "Reversal Tantra" states: "The object of the bindu is color, five and six and three one six, clear and warm and cool, holding the nature of light and moving, the ultimate dharma-nature arises." Thus it is said. And as the "Burning Lamp Tantra" states: "Also clear in the object of the ear, returning from emptiness itself, the experiencer clear."
