The object and the object-possessor, as well as those without object, are self-grasping. Thus it is said. Divided, there are three: the far-reaching net of the aggregation of the pure essence of the elements, like the pure red utpala flower, the support of the senses; the far-reaching net of the aggregation of the senses, the sense organ with form arising with the ability to grasp form, like the sense organ of the eye; the far-reaching net of the aggregation of wisdom, the tip of the clear light channel, the appearance of clear light abiding as the seer. From that very [text]: "The divisions are of three kinds: the far-reaching net of the self-aggregation of the pure essence of the elements, like a water lamp; the far-reaching net of the aggregation of wisdom; and the far-reaching net of the aggregation of the senses." Thus it is said. The support is: relying on the eye in its own place, the aspect of the seer relies on that appearing object, therefore relying on both pure and impure. From the Uttaratantra: "The support of the far-reaching net is appearance, by the distinction of pure and impure, actions and accumulations rely on the pure, the body and wisdom rely on that." Thus it is said. The manner of abiding is: abiding as the great self-luminous, unobstructed holder of appearances. From the Blazing Lamp: "Abiding to hold the place and the above." Thus it is said. The place is: From that very [text]: "The place of this is the eye, because the seer is unobstructed, it holds all objects." Thus it is said. The object is: the meaning of that deluded appearing object, the aspect of its own characteristic, that is the object of the aggregation of pure essence. There, the aspect of the name called "form" is the object of the far-reaching net of the senses. Light, appearance, and empty form are the object of the far-reaching net of wisdom, one should train in that very [object]. From the Uttaratantra: "The object of the far-reaching net is form and so on, gathering, holding, and throwing. Binding with the key point and the lasso, transforming the senses and cutting the root, guiding and training in form." Thus it is said. The example is: like an iron hook. From the Garland of Pearls: "For example, like an iron hook that holds." Thus it is said. From the Blazing Lamp: "For example, like an iron hook that holds, just as it holds whatever appears from the tip, this holds the two tips of samsara and nirvana." Thus it is said. The key point of how to practice is: in general, when aiming at the appearing object, the three are slow awareness, slow wind, and non-conceptualization of the object. Here, the main thing is not moving the eyes, combining it with the way of looking. From the Uttaratantra: "I will tell the key point of the lamp, listen, fortunate son of the gods."
