The path is the door of the seer. That itself, two on the right, two on the left, and in the center, abides in the manner of a burning lamp. The lamp of the empty sphere, and the lamp of the pure realm of reality, and the self-arisen wisdom itself, and the lamp of the lasso of water, appear to the field of the seer. Awareness, the uninterrupted stream of non-thought, appears from the gate of great bliss, Brahma. Thus it is said. From the "Turning Away from Extremes": From the two eyes of gathered clarity, from the distinction of means and wisdom, the sphere that knows how it is, and appears as the lamp of the pure realm of reality. As many as the lassoes, and those ripened into the lamp of wisdom, also the actions of beings, and how the distinctions of the senses are, one will know by learning about them. Thus it is said. The second has two parts: showing the general divisions, and explaining the specific categories. The first is the four lamps, from the "Self-Arisen": The four lamps are like this: the lamp of the empty sphere, and the lamp of the realm of awareness, and the lamp of self-arisen wisdom, and the lamps of the lasso of water, appear to all sentient beings. Thus it is said. From the "Burning Lamp": All of these four lamps hold the appearances of all sentient beings. The lamp of the lasso of water gathers the essence of forms and so forth. The lamp of self-arisen wisdom cuts off the doubts of all vehicles. The lamp of the empty sphere connects the boundaries of samsara and nirvana. The lamp of the pure realm of reality plants the seeds of yogic experience. All of these are special appearances. Thus it is said. The second has four parts: the nature of the lamp of the lasso of water, the empty sphere, the pure realm, and the self-arisen wisdom, explained extensively. The first has ten aspects: essence, definition, characteristics, divisions, support, mode of abiding, place, object, example, and key point. The first, the essence, is: the essence of the lamp of the lasso of water, holding the parts of the two appearances, seeing samsara and nirvana as harmonious, from the "Burning Lamp": The lamp of the lasso of water gathers both the essence and the appearance, because the holding part of the seer is not obstructed, therefore, seeing by holding the parts of both, is the view of harmony between samsara and nirvana. Thus it is said. The definition is: from the "String of Pearls": The lasso is the stallion of the five gates, the consciousness of mind rides and goes, all objects.

Enters and gathers. The very place seized by the hook, is completely seized by the grasping mind. Water distinguishes between clarity and turbidity. That is also where the two are equal. In short, it is the essence of the senses. Thus it is said. From the former: The definitive words are like this: Distance is because it holds the lineage of the distant, it holds the appearance as form, and gathers colors and so on, the body of wisdom also from afar, the seer holds, from the aspect of realizing samsara, it is called distance because it throws far. Similarly, from the aspect of non-realization, it is distance because it throws towards nirvana. Similarly, from the aspect of the appearance of samsara, form and the five desirable qualities, are hooks because they bind with this. Appearing in the realm of the senses, it holds remembrance and thought as self with this, so it is called a hook, it holds from afar. Similarly, the sky is free from clouds, wisdom appears as a selfless body, without letting the appearance be distracted, it is called a hook because it holds with this. Water is for those appearances, after attachment returns to its own place, without a mind attached to all, by placing the appearance in its own place, it is called water because it is free from self-grasping. Lamp is all of one's own appearances, that increase from above to above, it is a lamp because of the clarity of wisdom. All the appearances of the gross elements, self-knowing conduct is without obstruction, and it is a lamp because it is clear in the self-door of the senses. By placing wisdom in the outer sphere, the inner sphere is pure and appears in its own place, because it generates the appearance of experience, the sphere and wisdom are mixed, so it is also mother. Because it is the essence of all the senses, the door of arising is the eye, so it is called the mother who holds the basis of all. Thus it is said. The characteristic is: Whatever is born as capable of holding the appearance of form, by seeing the appearance of wisdom, it dwells as stopping the illusionary appearance. In the reductio ad absurdum it says: The characteristic of the distance hook lamp is, it enters by pervading and pervades by entering, it dwells purifying the four elements, it is holding, entering, increasing and acting. Thus it is said. From the burning lamp it says: Its characteristic is like this, the arising action is without cessation, in the door of the eye, the essence of the senses, because it arises it dwells in the lotus eye. Its own characteristic is holding the senses, from the elements it is projecting, appearing as gathering, holding and increasing. From wisdom it is seeing, dwelling and holding the higher. Senses
