So it is. Such a yogi, although appearing in a human body, is called a Nirmanakaya of accomplished activity because his mind is purified as a Buddha. Now he benefits each small group of disciples, and later he benefits all sentient beings as vast as the sky. The Kunje states: The body may be a person, god, or human, but the mind is the Dharmata Buddha. Having benefited sentient beings, he dwells in bliss without effort or striving. Also, the Rangshar states: The Nirmanakaya of accomplished activity is one who has liberated his own lineage and manifestly attained enlightenment. Then he emanates manifestations. Both inner and outer activities are accomplished, and he is regarded as the Nirmanakaya of accomplished activity. So it is. The way of benefiting others later is: With immeasurable compassion playing in the ten directions, emanations radiate, accomplishing all the benefit of beings, showing that activity is close until samsara remains. This is from the essence of inherent nature, from the spontaneous arising of impartial compassion, the play perfectly accomplishes the benefit of others. When the self-appearance manifestly awakens to bliss, the appearance of the Bardo of Dharmata dissolves into the Dharmakaya of primordial purity, abiding in the single, indivisible Dharmakaya, from the burning of the body. Then, in the essence of primordial purity, like rays gathering in the sun, together with one's own emanations, one dissolves into one's own essence, becoming inseparable and indivisible. So it is. Without moving from the state of Dharmakaya, spontaneous compassion, and the purification of the karma of those to be tamed, in the world of beings who create the root of virtue to see the Buddha, immeasurable emanations radiate according to what needs to be tamed, which is the play of compassion. Appearing in the boundless and limitless fields of the ten directions, for the benefit of others, it continuously arises until samsara is not empty. This also arises spontaneously without effort or striving. The Klong Drugpa states: The compassion of the power of nature is without any effort of action, in the way of unmade appearances, it appears from the beginning without separation. Like light from the sun, it is not made by oneself, but one's own nature appears in that way. So it is. The reason why compassion arises from the Buddha to benefit sentient beings is: Although the play of impure parts has ceased, the emanation still appears to impure beings, which is the compassion of the teacher's inherent power.

It arises from pure intention and aspiration. When abiding peacefully in the oneness of the Dharmakaya, because one's own nature neither appears nor disappears, and transcends action and agent, it reverts from the side of appearance, abandoning all that includes illusion. Because of non-appearance, the container and contents of illusion do not exist in one's own nature. Just as the illusion of blurred vision, hair-like floaters, and holding a yellow-white conch disappears due to reversed phlegm, and does not appear in one's own nature, so too, the illusion of samsara and all its parts have no self-nature in what is seen. Although it is thus non-existent, this entering of compassionate gaze upon sentient beings is such that some assert that although the Rupakaya appears as other appearances due to the aspirations of sentient beings and the blessings of the Buddhas, it does not appear at all to the Buddhas, so they do not see sentient beings. They give the example of a sky-supporting stupa, a jewel, and a wish-fulfilling tree. While it is reasonable to admit that illusion does not appear in one's own nature, it is extremely unreasonable to say that the Buddhas do not know those to be trained. This contradicts omniscience and has the fault of lacking knowledge of all things as they are. Some assert that the Buddhas see illusion as self-nature and act for the benefit of beings. While it is reasonable to admit that the Buddhas know those to be trained, it is extremely unreasonable to say that illusion appears as self-nature in one's own nature. For this would imply that the practice of pure lands is not yet complete, because impure illusion still appears. And it would imply that the special transformation of the basis has not yet been attained, because the objects of appearance of the five sense faculties with grasping are impure illusions. If one asserts this, there would be the fault of the possibility of Buddhas with uncleared obscurations. If it is said that from the three pure grounds onwards, illusion is transformed and the lands are purified, then what need is there to mention the state of Buddhahood? As the Ornament of the Sutras says: "Because mind and grasping and discrimination are transformed, there is non-discrimination, and because the lands and wisdom are pure, the faculties abide in four aspects." This is clear. Therefore, the sole Buddha, having become one taste in the Dharmakaya, from the spontaneously accomplished wisdom and compassion, performs the benefit of beings by the appearance of the two Rupakayas. Just as one's own nature is not deluded and illusion does not appear, so too, by seeing only the clear appearance that is absent in others, they teach the Dharma to them. Just as when looking with pure divine eyes, the appearance of form in one's own nature is not mistaken, while in others there is blurred vision, hair-like floaters, holding a yellow-white conch, and dreams from sleep.
