Also close to the true meaning. The six essentials of the practice of the virtuous ones: Abiding in the nature of reality, which is unmade, is the essential of non-elaboration. Meditating on clear light is the essential of non-wandering. Acting as an illusion is the essential of non-truth. The result being spontaneously accomplished is the essential of self-nature. Negative conditions being self-liberated is the essential of non-grasping. Happiness and suffering being one's own mind is the essential of diligent practice (taming). If one possesses these, all things are accomplished without effort. Advising oneself with six reasons: Life is impermanent, one should strive diligently. One should develop disgust for the suffering of samsara. One should protect the six realms of beings with immeasurable compassion. One should have continuous and unwavering devotion to the lama. One should practice the profound instructions. When one recognizes one's own nature, one should rely on solitude. Following reason is the supreme of great beings. The six dharmas that gather the meaning of the vehicle: One must know the faults of ordinary afflictions as they arise. One must know the path of hearers and solitary realizers to abandon afflictions. One must know the path of bodhisattvas to tame afflictions. One must know the path of secret mantra to transform afflictions. One must have self-arisen wisdom to fully know one's own nature. One must know what to accept and reject, liberation without action or seeking. If one possesses these, one will not be stained by afflictions. The six kinds of mindsets of Dharma practitioners: Understanding the faults of samsara is like seeking out the faults of evil. The mind of escaping from it is like a soldier deserting. The mind of no return is like a fox escaping a trap. The mind of abandoning samsara is like a servant of a bad master. The mind of fearing wandering is like seeking a place in a bad path. The mind of liberating from samsara is like hail melting into water. The six kinds of mindsets for applying Dharma to one's being: The mind of attachment is like a bee sticking to honey. The mind of contemplation is like seeking gold from within earth and stone. The mind of realization is like obtaining a gold nugget in one's hand. The mind of familiarizing through meditation is like wiping away dust. The mind of increasing qualities is like adorning it with ornaments. The mind of manifestation is like arising whatever one desires. The six connections to the Mahayana Dharma: Abandoning the clinging to reality is connected to the view and experience. Eliminating laziness is connected to faith and diligence. Protecting the Hinayana is connected to skillful means and wisdom. Pacifying anger is connected to acknowledging one's own faults and others' virtues. Practicing the noble path is connected to devotion and perseverance. Cutting off wrong paths is connected to hearing, thinking, and meditating. Excellent! It seems very rare and difficult.

The six supreme and unsurpassed instructions are: If one understands the nature of reality, hearing is supreme and unsurpassed. If one cuts off the root, thinking is supreme and unsurpassed. If wisdom arises, the path of skillful means is supreme and unsurpassed. If one can skillfully use the Dharma, blessings are supreme and unsurpassed. If one realizes no birth and no death, accomplishment is supreme and unsurpassed. If one understands no attainment, confidence is supreme and unsurpassed. If one practices these, the Buddha arises from oneself. To accomplish perfection, the six things one should not lose are: Do not be swayed by friends who enjoy socializing. Do not be swayed by food that is praised to your face. Do not be swayed by the distractions of socializing and playing. Do not be swayed by the emotions of loving relatives. Do not be swayed by the virtuous friends of craftsmanship. Do not be swayed by the greed of accumulating wealth. Thus, possessing these six, the path of Dharma will be perfected. Examine and abandon the six faults of personality: Self-praise and criticizing others, the five poisons are coarse. Frivolous and unsteady, narrow-minded. Enjoying meaningless actions and socializing. Stubborn and inflexible, unable to be persuaded. Liking to associate with the high and mighty, being ostentatious. Deceitful and cunning, harboring great malice. When practicing the sacred Dharma, examine and abandon these faults. The six faults of bad conduct are: Being ungrateful, repaying kindness with evil. Being stingy to oneself, but extravagant to others. Being fickle and unstable, with an inconstant nature. Flattering to the face, but having two faces. Not understanding what is meaningful, being talkative and liking to gossip. Having great expectations without effort. One should stay far away from these bad people, they are contrary to the sacred Dharma. The six qualities of liberation from the faults of perfection are: Having a firm will, being self-disciplined and virtuous, with few actions. Being diligent and persevering, having great ambition, and being patient. Not being deceived by others, not being robbed by circumstances. Having a long-term vision, being consistent, sincere, and without hypocrisy. Being intelligent and wise, having foresight, and being skilled in means. Not speaking of others' faults, being brave to reveal one's own shortcomings. Such a virtuous person is an eternal friend on the path to enlightenment. The six kinds of jealousy that practitioners should abandon are: Greed for others to obtain more wealth and enjoyment. Greed for having many relatives and prosperous disciples. Greed for great merit and a large gathering of followers. Greed for fame to spread far and wide. Greed for surpassing everything and being superior. Not wanting others to be even a little better than oneself. These desires are like the arrows of the god of love, they should be destroyed.
