Not knowing to sever affection, Not knowing the many faults of desire for sensual pleasures, Not knowing to accumulate wealth and possessions, Not knowing impermanence, being lazy in meditation and practice, May you abandon all these faults that arise. The six dharmas that blend one's own continuum with the Dharma: Attachment self-reverses, like rotten clothes discarded on a cliff. Compassion moistens the continuum, like a mother with an only child. Qualities arise spontaneously, like the earth in summer. Continuous effort is like a wheel of swords. Illusory appearances self-liberate, like a snake's knot. The natural state of reality proceeds effortlessly, like a captain reaching his homeland. Such a qualified and supreme being, the venerable one! The six mistaken dharmas that are incompatible with the Dharma: The mind attached to samsara is difficult to separate. Unstable awareness is easily deceived. The illusion of the six aggregates' objects is skillful at enticing. The meaningless activities of samsara are completely exhausting. Day and night, life is spent, passing quickly. Many spend their lives on trivial matters. Thinking of these, may I become a treasure of the sacred Dharma! The six dharmas that urge one towards the true meaning: When will the two, attachment and aversion, which are sure to deceive, deceive? When will these two, body and mind, which are sure to separate, separate? When will the borrowed elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, which are sure to be taken away, be taken away? When will the appearances of this life, which are sure to fade, fade? When will the illusory wealth and possessions, which are sure to be left behind, be left behind? When will the Lord of Death, like a thunderbolt, which is sure to come, come? Thinking thus, contemplate from the heart, day and night. The six dharmas that blend one's own continuum with the Dharma: Desiring to exhaust desire, rely on contentment in the mind. Desiring to exhaust hatred towards enemies, subdue anger within. Desiring to accomplish the benefit of others, apply the mind of enlightenment to one's continuum. Desiring to subdue the appearances of others, infuse blessings within. Desiring to purify the realms, purify the self-aware luminosity. Desiring to pacify suffering, infuse great bliss within. The inner interdependence manifests outwardly. The six dharmas that are without essence, even though one has obtained leisure and endowment: Abandoning listening and contemplation, the antidote to ignorance, Abandoning the guru, the root of blessings, Abandoning the yidam, the source of accomplishments, Postponing meditation, the root of practice, Accumulating sins and obscurations, abandoning the mind that dispels sickness and evil spirits, All those whose appearances and actions contradict the path. For a person without essence, it is like a magnet attracting iron. The six faults that individuals should abandon: Without determination, many tasks cannot be completed. Affection for friends and

Attachment to loved ones and hatred are endless, Greed for food leads to tattered clothes. Deceptive words obscure the true meaning, If you don't strive when desire arises, there's no hope of success. Unfamiliar now, the power of karma wanes in the bardo. Therefore, it is crucial to examine and abandon these six faults.

Showing the six faults of the body: The body is a container of all impurities, a network of connected veins, tendons, and bones, a pool of pus, serum, foul vomit, feces, and urine, with nine orifices as pathways, a city of six containers, five organs, and worms, and the nature of the origin of all diseases with form. Because of not knowing and clinging to the body, one will be deceived. The six meaningless and essence-less dharmas: All dharmas that appear as various objects are impermanent and quickly perish, like bubbles. There is no essence whatsoever, like a banana tree. Deceiving children with illusions, like mirages. Appearing as various things while not existing, like magic. Appearing due to the power of habitual tendencies, like dreams. Not staying long and changing, like lightning. Those who know this will cross to the other shore of existence. The six ways of entering for a lower practitioner: Seeing the suffering of samsara, one seeks a path. Understanding that whatever one does is meaningless, one belittles profit and fame. Because of small pride and desire, one remains in a lower position. Because of faith, diligence, and associating with Dharma friends, one strives in practice. Because of inferior Mahayana lineage, one's mind is not satisfied. Because of faith in the objects of knowledge, one is convinced by anything. This is the first gate of entry for the holy ones. The six dharmas needed for a middling practitioner: Not guarding the boundaries of cultivation, digging, fields, and water channels. Not bearing the burden of youth, profit, and trade. Not considering appearances, not clinging to the minds of messengers and relatives. Abandoning anger, partiality, and fighting. Abandoning accumulation, digging, external affairs, and the castles of dwellings. Separating from the demons of busyness, great people, and friendships. This is the second conclusion of entry for practitioners. The six charnel ground dharmas of a superior yogi: Starting with ordinariness, not associating with people. The actions of body, speech, and mind are hidden, and what one does is not seen by others. Not seeking food and clothing, living on rotten food and rotten clothing. Without fear, acting like a dakini. Practicing secretly, cultivating, abandoning ordinary behavior. The nature of reality naturally abides, realizing great bliss. This is considered the third way of entering the path to liberation. The six dharmas of an even more superior, impartial yogi: Not clinging to one's own country or the country of others. Liberated from the two extremes of permanence and annihilation. Not recognizing anyone, whether near or far. Not clinging to one place, floating like a cloud. The appearances of the six consciousnesses arise as friends. Not judging anything as good or bad.
