Like the rising sun, directly point out the essential point of clear emptiness of self-arisen wisdom. Like seeing all the small mountains from the top of Mount Meru, thoroughly see the meaning of mind-essence and carefully examine the peak of view. Like not finding cow dung when going to the Golden Island, recognize all distracting circumstances as the self-nature of Dharma. Like hailstones moving in the sky, free from dust, let all conceptual thoughts and characteristics be purified in their own place. Like throwing weapons turning into a rain of flowers, take everything that appears as the path of Dharmakaya. Like the lion's three strengths being complete in oneself, the power of equality subdues hope and doubt. Those who understand in this way are skilled in the profound essential points. The six dharmas that summarize the conduct of the vehicle are: Recognize the illusion of container and contents as the path of pure appearance. Recognize the suffering of samsara as the path of compassion. Recognize the six realms of beings as parents and transform them into the path of loving-kindness. Recognize the interdependence of cause and effect as the path of the three vows. Recognize the four empowerments and three doors as the path of generation and completion stages. Recognize appearance, sound, and mind-essence as the path of Dharmata. If you have this, there is no straying or obscuration. Without indulging in laziness, the six essential dharmas are: Wishing to seek a secluded place, a remote area, is too much external activity. Making the mind free from grasping and clinging is the essential point. Wishing to seek instructions from words is too much external activity. Seeking the profound practice of skillful means is the essential point. Relying on accumulating wealth for livelihood is too much external activity. Being content with whatever comes and learning contentment is the essential point. Chasing after busy practice is too much external activity. Abandoning all actions and skills is the essential point. Casting aside the accumulation of experience and realization is too much external activity. Forcefully encouraging oneself with profound essential points is the essential point. Seeking the qualities of the stages and paths in sequence is too much external activity. Stabilizing and familiarizing oneself with the three bodies of mind-essence is the essential point. If you practice, you will achieve Buddhahood and enlightenment. The six dharmas for training in the meaning of the six places are: Abiding in the irreversible Bodhicitta. Abiding in the two accumulations that are never satisfied. Abiding in the discussion of Dharma for the sake of cultivating wisdom. Abiding in a secluded place for the sake of cultivating meditation. Abiding in the meaning of what has been practiced for the sake of reducing activity. Abiding in respecting the Lama for the sake of achieving the supreme state. Those who abide in this way enter the great path of the supreme vehicle. When lying down, the six paths are well shown: To abandon the movement of body and mind is the path of solitude. To be without suffering for oneself and others is the path of completeness. To be without regret in one's own nature is the path of goodness.

The path. The path of truly establishing for the sake of accomplishing qualities. The path of accomplishment for the sake of completing what has been started. The spontaneously accomplished path for the sake of having been well trained from the beginning. Which of the six beds is comfortable and pleasant to sleep on? The six grounds of going for the Mahayana practitioners are: Desiring the Buddha's teachings, one goes in the nature of Dharma. Desiring the benefit of sentient beings, one goes teaching Dharma as appropriate. Desiring to realize one's own mind, one goes without the three poisons. Desiring to attain wisdom, one goes in the stream of Dharma. By the power of those to be tamed, one goes in all births. Desiring the path of liberation, one goes to rely on the Lama. Those who go like that are learning the Buddha's teachings. The six categories for needing mindfulness are: One needs to be mindful in initiating the root of virtue. One needs to be mindful in diligently taking up the Dharma. One needs to be mindful in entering the mind of unsurpassed enlightenment. One needs to be mindful of the mind of enlightenment for the sake of others. One needs to be mindful of the meaning of the nature of Dharma day and night. One needs to be mindful in generating renunciation and weariness. One who does so enters the excellent path of the Bodhisattvas. The enumeration of the six speeches is excellently taught: The speech that shows the inexhaustible conduct of sentient beings. The speech that excellently shows the ocean-like Dharma. The speech that praises the qualities of the Buddhas. The speech that excellently shows the inexhaustible Mahayana. The speech that fills the ten directions of space with the sound of Dharma. The speech that shows the destruction of samsara and the passing into nirvana. Whoever possesses these is a great son of the Victorious One. The six bodies, manifestations, are excellently taught: In order to ripen people, there is the human body. In order to tame the lower realms, there is the non-human body. There are the bodies that ripen gods and demigods. In order to tame the small ones, there are the bodies of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers. In order to establish the Great Vehicle, there is the body of the Bodhisattva. In order to perfect power, there is the body of perfect enjoyment. Authority and wealth are naturally accomplished for them. The six heads of the Sons of the Conquerors are taught: In order to gather the world with gods, the head that bows to the Lama who possesses supreme qualities. In order not to cut off the lineage of the Three Jewels, the head that takes up and gathers the conduct of the Sugatas. In order to become the lord of all three thousand worlds, the head that takes up pure and profound faith. In order to place all beings on the path to enlightenment, the head that fully ripens all sentient beings. In order to accomplish the supreme Dharma, the head that abides in the Perfection of Wisdom.
