Alas! By realizing the nature of mind as without object, one does not fixate on names and signs in the mind. By realizing the nature of reality as free from action, one does not engage in effort in the mind. As a sign of realizing the true state, it arises spontaneously. The instruction on the six non-distractions is: When carrying the path, do not be distracted; destroy subtle and coarse conceptual thoughts. When on the ground and path, do not be distracted; purify the two obscurations. When dealing with cause and effect, do not be distracted; adopt and abandon virtue and vice. When meditating, do not be distracted; there is no grasping at self-illumination. When acting, do not be distracted; engage in actions that accord with the Dharma. When behaving, do not be distracted; cultivate the conduct of the holy ones. If one is in accordance with this, one accomplishes the essence of the sacred Dharma. The six Dharmas for abandoning the six faults are: Once the view is understood, there is nothing more to do. The fault of rambling practice must be recognized. Seek to abide in the state of self-luminous contemplation. The fault of pride in meditation must be recognized. Without distinguishing clarity and luminosity, there is only dullness and sinking. The fault of grasping at the mind must be recognized. Even if warmth signs arise from clinging to one thing, the fault of being bound in a circle must be recognized. When one looks at one thing, dualistic perceptions arise. The fault of conceptual thoughts being like thieves must be recognized. Although the five poisons are suppressed during equipoise, coarse afflictions arise again afterward, and the root fault is not cut. One must recognize that the nature of mind is still not realized. Having recognized it, it is most important to be liberated by the antidote. The six contemplations for liberating from samsara are: The nature of reality transcends the realm of the intellect. At the ground stage, one realizes the Dharma of the mind. However, experiential clinging and attachment are the Dharma of samsara, so at the path stage, one does not meditate on experiential Dharma. Pure activity is the indivisibility of samsara and nirvana, so at the fruition stage, one does not act for the benefit of sentient beings. The ground of reality is self-knowing, uncorrupted by the intellect. It is free from the object of knowledge, so it is free from elaboration. In general, not knowing and not grasping is the correct path. It is free from all aims of memory, thought, and seeking. Not fixating on signs is the supreme of ultimate fruition. Without obscuration, like crystal, self-luminous, free from partiality. Whoever knows this is a great, vast yogi. The teaching on the nature of the six realizations is: Realization through the words of others is the oral instruction of the guru. Realization of the field of appearances is the unreal illusion. Realization of the grasping mind is rootless space. Realization of the face of awareness is unobscured

Ewam and, Understanding the meaning of seeing, transcending the limits of the mind, The certainty of meditation is the end of the ground. Whoever understands this, in the state of the sky of intention, Effortlessly and spontaneously accomplished. The six dharmas that interrupt the demons: Abandoning the guru and relying on evil friends, Abandoning Bodhi and entering the path of Samsara, Abandoning self-interest and doing things that seem to benefit others, Abandoning the unnecessary and seeking the eight worldly dharmas, Abandoning solitude and entering into noisy distractions, Abandoning non-duality and following after names and words. Such a person is blessed by demons, Suffering in this life and the next, and will eventually be disappointed. The six dharmas of guarding without distraction: The nature of behavior, like a mad elephant, Has it fallen into a dangerous swamp? Guard it. The nature of seeing, the indivisibility of appearance and emptiness, Has it been taken away by the demon of self-grasping? Guard it. The clarity of awareness, this luminous child, Has it followed after delusion? Guard it. The root of blessings, this crop of faith and respect, Has it been taken away by the frost of wrong views? Guard it. The lamp of the path to Bodhi liberation, Has it been moved by the wind of desire? Guard it. The nectar of immortality, the guru's instructions, Is it mixed with the poison of doubt? Guard it. Therefore, guarding without distraction is essential. The six dharmas of not understanding the true meaning: With the thought of birth, not understanding the unborn, because it transcends the mind. With the thought of substance, not understanding emptiness, because it transcends the object. With the thought of action, not understanding non-action, because it transcends action. With the thought of thought, not understanding non-duality, because it transcends thought. With the thought of attachment, not understanding the boundless, because it transcends direction. With the thought of action, not understanding non-elaboration, because it transcends elaboration. Not grasping at the names and characteristics of things is the meaning of abiding. Not thinking, naked and natural, free from conceptualization. The six dharmas of examining the nature of abiding: Self-luminous and naked, without artificiality, is, Not ordinary, beyond prediction. Not conceptualization, free from the duality of subject and object. Not an antidote mind, transcending all abandonment and adoption. Unseen by others, self-awareness for each. Not clinging to self, transcending all experiences of clinging. Always existing, But this secret is very difficult to know. Transcending understanding and non-understanding, it is all-pervasive. Whoever knows this is proficient in the meaning of abiding. The manifestation of self-nature
