Alas, this body of longing for worldly things! Even with vast learning and contemplation, it cannot benefit oneself or others. Even if one understands the view of reality, one dies in ordinariness. Do not be dominated by such things; be extremely cautious! The six teachings of the deceiving demons are: The demon that deceives those who crave wealth with possessions; the demon that deceives those with vast knowledge with qualities; the demon that deceives those of high birth with their lineage; the demon that deceives those who gather with merit; the demon that deceives those with bad karma with adverse conditions; the demon that deceives those who desire fame with words. Because they are so numerous, do not be dominated by them! The six faults of going astray into laziness are: Ordinary thoughts, meaningless actions, and much idle talk; one mistaken misdeed leads to another in succession; in view, clinging to self and engaging in various forms of attachment and aversion; in meditation, evil thoughts and wrong views never cease; in conduct, engaging in various non-virtuous and non-dharmic actions; losing faith in the Dharma and being dominated by this life. These are the lazy ones who have lost the path to liberation; because of going astray into evil, one should stay far away! The six dharmas of not abandoning the mixture of virtue and vice are: Do not rely on a teacher who increases attachment and aversion and is without essence; do not rely on a disciple who is useless and cannot recognize faults and shortcomings; do not perform virtuous deeds that accumulate non-virtue and sin; do not give charity expecting respect and repayment; do not make offerings to nourish food, wealth, and relatives; do not give Dharma talks that seek gain through deception. Listening to these will be in accordance with the Dharma. The six dharmas that contradict the meaning of self-admiration are: Thinking oneself to be a practitioner who has not transformed ordinary mind; thinking oneself to be relying on a lama without faith, respect, and service; thinking oneself to be a great teacher who does not mix Dharma with one's own mind; thinking oneself to be a hermit who has not abandoned busyness and laziness; thinking oneself to be a meditator whose qualities do not increase; thinking oneself to be doing altruistic activities without striking the essential point of practice. Because these six are mixed and confused, the wise should stay far away! The six dharmas that deceive with six hypocrisies are: View is hypocritical, without gaining conviction, wavering, and free from elaboration; this also deceives one's own mind. Meditation is hypocritical, without hitting the essential point, foolish meditation, and intellectual speculation; this also deceives one's own mind. Conduct is hypocritical, without mindfulness, mad behavior, and coarse actions; this also deceives one's own mind. Vows are hypocritical, without fearing faults and transgressions.

E! Even this hidden protection of vows deceives one's own mind. With false hearing and contemplation, not desiring Buddhahood, this desire for fame and skill also deceives one's own mind. With false results, not realizing the nature of mind, this yearning for future times also deceives one's own mind. Do not be controlled by deception, cherish it greatly. The six dharmas of abandoning worldly activities are: do not betray ancestors and gurus, do not measure dharma, do not cheat. Do not quarrel with siblings and friends, do not fight with dharma brothers. Do not engage in activities that endanger public law and are not in accordance with dharma. Do not spread evil words and poison, do not entice others with bribes. Do not speak excessively and indiscriminately, do not criticize others. Do not undertake tasks that have not been entrusted, do not abandon the desire for human morality. Being entrusted and having authority, accomplish Buddhahood through dharma. For those who properly engage in practicing dharma, the six faults of going to towns and villages are: being affected by defilement, practice and blessings disappear. When afflictions arise, the three trainings and vows are lost. Breaking vows leads to many obstacles and hindrances. Delusional appearances Being contaminated leads to the loss of view, meditation, and action. Being contaminated by ordinariness separates one's own mind-stream from dharma. Being controlled by bad karma, one eventually goes to a worldly family. Therefore, do not go to towns and villages, rely on solitary places. Even when walking on the road, have the perception of being in prison. Guard the senses, do not let the senses wander to external objects, be extremely cautious. Binding the six places of practice into vows is: establishing the place of view in the intention of the Buddha. With the practice of key instructions, tightly grasp the essential points with skillful means. With the wisdom of awareness, block the gaps of doubt with reason. The key points of the generation stage, liberate from the attachment to objective appearances. Gather everything into the unchanging state of mind-nature. Bind all dharmas into the Great Perfection. If these key points are mastered, enlightenment will be attained in this life. Explaining the key instructions for stabilizing the six foundations is: stabilizing the foundation of wisdom, hearing, contemplation, and practice. Stabilizing the foundation of the Great Vehicle, generating bodhicitta and discipline. Stabilizing the foundation of blessings, having a good lineage. Stabilizing the foundation of realization, realizing the nature of mind. Stabilizing the foundation of qualities, faith, diligence, and connection. Stabilizing the foundation of happiness, abandoning samsara. Learning from the actions of the holy ones. The six faults of accumulating worldly wealth are: being the basis of the five poisons, increasing attachment, hatred, and other afflictions. Being the bondage of stinginess, leading to the suffering of pretas and other evil realms. Worldly dharma flourishes Separating from the path to enlightenment. Increasing protection, spending one's life exhausted in suffering. Practice
