That is, the aspect is the nature of the wisdom of listening. Regarding that, aspiring to listen with the mind of enlightenment is the aspect of aspiration; similarly, the aspect of having thoughts of benefit and happiness; the aspect of higher intention of bearing the burden of others' affairs; the aspect of combining the three, perfection, maturation, and purification, with respectful and constant diligence; the aspect of a virtuous friend who does not fall into wrong paths but establishes one on the right path; the aspect of being without arrogance, abandoning pride arising from knowledge and lineage, etc.; listening eliminates past faults and prevents future ones from arising, so it is the antidote to carelessness, therefore it is the aspect of mindfulness; the aspect of respecting the Dharma and those who speak it without despising them, or the aspect of regarding them as examples; the aspect of practicing as the Lama has taught, which is the aspect of acting in accordance; the aspect of listening without turning back, with respectful conduct, honor, and peace of mind; abandoning disrespectful conduct towards the Dharma and those who speak it, and performing physical and verbal service such as prostrations, is the aspect of veneration and respect. Here, if veneration and service are divided into three categories, then veneration is done through offerings, service is done through physical and verbal prostrations and praise, and respect and reverence are done through the mind, or rather, it is the aspect of subduing the three doors of body, speech, and mind in sequence. Listening attentively without the fault of external distraction and internal contraction is the aspect of listening with ears perked; understanding the nature of reality and the intended meaning without error, as taught, is the aspect of attention; listening without external and internal distractions is the aspect of non-distraction; listening while staying in one place without wild behavior is the aspect of place; listening itself is rare and meaningful, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, so it is the aspect of preciousness; listening eliminates the disease of the three poisons, so it is the aspect of medicine. Therefore, the aspect of eliminating the chronic disease of afflictions, these two are considered as one. Unforgettable memory itself is a container, or listening is the basis or container of memory, therefore it is the aspect of the container of memory. Realization is the wisdom of thinking, and for that, there are two types, meditative and non-meditative. Here, 'knowing' is mentioned to represent the meditative state, because such wisdom of thinking arises from listening, so it is realization.
