The statement that it is permissible to say "not there" etc., if I exclude others. In some of these cases, it seems that the writing is slightly damaged, and the wording is not clear, but there is no contradiction in meaning. Those places where it is not clear in any of the source texts have been left as they are because I have not found the confidence to correct them as they are. If you find a clear example later, please correct the text. Because it is impossible for both the producer and the produced of a part to exist in one substance. For example, the sun rises, the water flows down, and the beans are round are not by nature, because they are produced by their own causes in the dharmas such as appearance. If there is no cause and one acts by one's own nature, then the agent sun must be the cause, and the action of appearance must be the result, then it will become two parts. Moreover, the cause that produces the sun also produces the appearance, and the appearance is not without cause, because the appearance is the dharma of the sun. It is contradictory for the sun alone to have two dharmas, produced by cause and not produced, because it is one substance established by one cause. That is its meaning. Here, the explanation of the formation of clouds and the world is: the example seen in the world, the clouds gathered in the sky, is thought to have appeared suddenly without cause. Also, the scriptures say that the world is destroyed and empty and then formed again, thinking that it is a possible example of without cause, this is to prevent such wrong views. If there are things that have not been seen, are there some without cause? etc. means: Most of these appearances now can see the cause, but for some things that have not been seen, it is thought that it is possible that there is no cause, this is impossible. Because smoke does not appear unless it is produced from fire. Just like seeing only smoke and not seeing the cause fire, but the fire is hidden behind the mountain, etc. Even if the cause is hidden and not actually seen, all results must have a cause, because without a cause, the result cannot appear, this is the meaning of being certain by reason. Regarding the secret occasion, "There is no non-pervasive distinction, this is true," means: In the place where it is not pervasive, because it can be newly moved, it is true to say that it is never there. Therefore, it is not permissible to exist like a ghost, with form or without form, visible or invisible. It means that it is unreasonable for existence and non-existence and visibility and invisibility to be mixed together. Then, although the mountain does not move, it can grow trees and grass, etc.

If it is said, "Like the action of...", etc., it means that if there is no coming and going, etc., then doing things is unreasonable. This shows that just as a mountain does not move but can grow grass and trees, if it is thought that the Great Self is pervasive and constant, and even though it does not do things like coming and going, it can still act, that is unreasonable. Because even in places where it is not pervasive, trees can grow, such as the top of a tree, which can grow even though it is not pervasive. Therefore, the example of the Self being pervasive and yet able to grow cannot be used as an analogy. When the roots of a tree are cut off by hail or are pervaded by it, the mountain pushes or drives it away, so the hail does not pervade the tree. Although it can be explained in this way, in general, the meaning of the words is somewhat impaired, or if, as in some examples, "the roots of the tree" does not use a case marker, then it can be explained as being cut off by a knife, etc., and in this way, various ways of reasoning and refutation will arise. But I will not elaborate on it here. In general, since the ways of reasoning are infinite, various ways of phrasing will arise. Therefore, for most of these kinds of situations, as long as there is no contradiction to the key point of the meaning, being able to understand the different meanings of the words is a manifestation of the power of vast intelligence. Therefore, avoid one-sided stubbornness and think carefully again. When refuting the vows of the naked ascetics, because the vow depends on the object to be protected, and in one continuum, the object to be protected and the protector are mutually contradictory at the same time, it is not established. Generally speaking, the protector and the object to be protected are mutually dependent in order to be established, and if one exists, the other does not, so it is only nominally established in dependence, but in reality it is not established. Here, it is explained that trees do not have consciousness in order to show that vows such as not cutting down trees are meaningless. 'Because even tiny particles do not exist,' this statement not only denies that trees have consciousness, but also denies that trees even have a truly existent atom. Or, what is composed of atoms is matter, so it is not consciousness, because consciousness is not composed of atoms. Although it can be understood in this way, there seems to be some textual error here, and if a correct version can be found and determined, it should be corrected. When refuting liberation, 'Things have no basis, so it is impossible.' This statement means, if analyzed with reason, does the thing of liberation have no basis for existence? When refuting the sameness of nature of many objects of knowledge.
