Merely proving an instance such as the earth knowing the forms of other things is of no benefit. Here, the way the Samkhyas establish their reason is: The eyes, etc., are objects that are not aggregates or accumulations, and they perform other functions because they are aggregates and accumulations. Among these, having many parts, such as particles and moments, is aggregation and accumulation; what is not aggregation and accumulation is permanent; and the object is the consciousness. For this reason, there is no pervasion for this thesis, and there is a contradiction with the stated dharma. First, if this dharma of 'not being an aggregate or accumulation' is applied upwards as a characteristic of the subject, the eyes, etc., and thereby it is established by the reason of 'not being an aggregate or accumulation' that 'it performs other functions,' then it will become a reason that contradicts the dharma of the subject. If 'not being an aggregate or accumulation' is taken as the basis and the eyes, etc., are regarded as its distinctions, then it will become a reason that contradicts the nature of the subject. Furthermore, if it is applied downwards to the thing to be proven, 'performing other functions,' then 'not being an aggregate or accumulation' is without parts such as particles and moments, and without those

So! 7th, the occasion of the Vaisheshika school. "Intelligence, etc., are qualities of the self." Regarding this quoted verse, in the Tarka-jvala it says, "Intelligence, etc., are qualities of the self that are severed," and it is said that "the Vaisheshikas know liberation through this," although this seems like a difference in translation, it does not contradict the meaning, so it is not corrected. The Vaisheshikas believe that liberation is attained by preventing qualities such as intelligence of the self from arising in the future, and by reversing the false notion that "mind is the self." "Ishvara is impermanent, therefore it never exists," etc., means that it is unreasonable for one impermanent Ishvara to create all containers and contents. The Vaisheshikas also do not believe this, so it is said that it never exists. Alternatively, it can also be understood as: even a permanent Ishvara as the creator is unreasonable. Therefore, whether there is a negative word or not is fine, but here it is not corrected as seen in the original text. "When refuting Ishvara, if it is admitted, then it is clear that it was not created," means that one cannot create oneself, because one cannot create before one is established. If one is already established, then there is no need to create. Through this reasoning, it is clear that it was not created. Therefore, "since Ishvara was not created, it cannot be the creator of all," because if it was not born and created from the beginning, then like the son of a barren woman, it is certain that it does not exist. "Containers and contents are also naturally similar, because they are the same," means that if it is possible for containers and contents to arise without Ishvara creating them, then why can't containers and contents arise in the same way? "Even the deity that gathers, is because it is visible but not observed," means that if there is a realm of deities that gathers permanent Ishvara, then it would be more extensive than Ishvara and would also harm the fundamental tenets. Since there is no basis for such a permanent Ishvara, there is also no deity that gathers it, just as there is no category of the son of a barren woman. If it really exists, since it is a deity, it should be visible, but no one has ever observed such a deity. That is the meaning. If it is understood as merely being negated because the realm of deities is visible but not observed, then the understanding is very wrong. "Simultaneous existence is impossible," because the establishment of time, such as pots and cloths, is not established in itself. In most cases, such as when simultaneous existence is impossible, "because they are mutually dependent," means that all things that are established in dependence on other things are merely imputed to one another by relying on one thing, and their own nature is not established. This is as widely proclaimed in the general tenets of the Madhyamaka school.
