Therefore, color and so on are not established as causes of cessation. Furthermore, since all of these are based on the view of self, the reasoning that demonstrates the absence of self as a basis for views, and the reasoning that prevents permanence and annihilation, have been explained previously and will be explained later as well. Among them, the first of the five systems of reasoning (tarka), the Samkhya school, was founded by a meditative adept named the sage Kapila (Ser skya). These followers of Ishvara Krishna's Sixty Stanzas, etc., enumerate all knowable things as twenty-five in number. Namely, the self, the purusha (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), the knower, is permanent, and from the pradhana (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), the principal, which is the equilibrium of the three gunas (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) of sattva, rajas, and tamas, arises the mahat, which is like a clear mirror connecting the inner and outer. From this arise the three types of ego, and from ego arise the five tanmatras and the eleven senses. From the five tanmatras arise the five elements. Furthermore, the self, realizing that it is deceived by attachment to objects, cultivates meditation and obtains the divine eye. When it observes, all transformations dissolve into the realm of the pradhana, and the self remains independent, which is considered liberation. Such a system is false because it has the fault of closely accumulating many contradictions that are different from the nature of liberation or the nature of the pradhana. The reason is established because it is not possible for an effect to arise from a permanent pradhana, it is not possible for a permanent self to enjoy objects, it is not possible to be free from attachment while still having attachment, and because it possesses the three gunas, it is not possible for the pradhana to be singular, and if the cause and effect are of the same essence, it contradicts all conventions of terminology, and so on, are refuted by reasoning. Secondly, the Vaisheshika school asserts six categories of knowable things, namely, when the sage Kanada accomplished Ishvara, he regarded an owl appearing on a stone lingam (male genital organ) as Ishvara, and after asking six questions such as "Is this a substance?", the owl flew away. Based on this, they assert that all knowable things are six meanings of words, namely, substance, quality, action, generality, particularity, and inherence. Among these, there are nine substances, namely, the self, time, atom, direction, and the five spaces are permanent substances, and earth, water, fire, and wind are impermanent substances. There are twenty-four qualities, namely, number, measure, conjunction, disjunction, otherness, and non-otherness are six common qualities, and the five visual consciousnesses, as well as pleasure, pain, desire, anger,

It is not Dharma. Effort, is the power of action, namely thirteen are my merits, and sound is the merit of space. Likewise, touch is of wind, smell is of earth, taste is of water, form is the merit of fire. Actions are five: stretching, contracting, lifting, placing, and walking. Generally, there are two: large and small. Specifically, it is a clear, distinct substance. Aggregation is considered in two ways: distinct aggregation, like horns on the head; and non-distinct aggregation, like the white roundness of a conch shell. The self is like space, without consciousness. Although sound always exists in space, it is obscured by the humid wind and cannot be heard. It is believed that sound can be heard when the wind is cleared by the effort of a person. Thus, to attain liberation through the doors of knowing the six objects of knowledge is a subject that is not correct, because it is contradictory when analyzed with reason. That is, directions and times are merely imputed and do not actually exist as substances. Analyzing atoms and the four elements is refuted. The self and Ishvara (自在天) do not have a permanent basis. The self is without consciousness, so suffering and happiness, bondage and liberation are unreasonable, and the qualities of happiness etc. cannot be established. Therefore, it is refuted because it only appears as a contradiction in designation. Third, the Vedic followers or practitioners, who consider Brahmins as examples for kings and regard the Vedas as valid, rely on texts such as branches that help in realization, regard Vishnu as a god, and accept ten vows: Vishnu with ten entrances, the Vedas not created by a person, things arising without cause, consciousness not knowing itself, purification by bathing in the Ganges, purification by being born in the Kuru country or being smeared with its dust, purification through place. Purification by being killed in battle, birth in heaven by giving birth to a child, purification by protecting life through theft, etc., and if one kills those who harm the guru, Brahmins, and the Vedas, it is considered purification by protecting the Dharma. Such a system, is a subject, is a reversed doctrine to be abandoned, because it seems like a path that does not help liberation. Whether it is Vishnu or anything else, if it is born, it is pervaded by impermanence; if it is not born, it does not exist like the son of a barren woman. It is impossible for something to be truly established and not born, and it is also refuted by the reasoning that refutes permanent entities. The Vedas are not created by a person.
