Those who believe that the world and gods are permanent, if permanent, because they do not change, it is impossible to have function; if they can function, they are necessarily impermanent, therefore they are negated by the reasoning that refutes permanent entities. Those who believe in no cause argue that because no cause does not depend on others, it will either always exist or not exist, which is also negated. For an unestablished basis, characteristics such as one, different, large, and small are unreasonable, therefore they are negated. If time and parts are examined, momentary indivisibility and atom indivisibility cannot be established, and because of no-self, negating gods and humans is also negated. The infinity of the world cannot be established, because an infinite world as a whole cannot be one, and having boundaries is also impossible, because the sky, wherever it is, does not hinder the birth of sentient beings. All cases that are both and other are negated because contradictions cannot gather on one basis, and cases that are neither are also negated because they are impossible. Among the forty-four views that rely on external paths, sixteen believe in consciousness, eight believe in no consciousness, eight believe in neither consciousness nor no consciousness, seven are annihilationists, and five believe in Nirvana in this life. The first, four believe that the self is consciousness with form, four believe that the self is consciousness without form, four believe that the self is both, and four believe that the self is neither. Similarly, four believe that the self has boundaries or no boundaries, etc., four believe that the self is happiness or suffering, etc., four believe that the self is one, different, small, or large consciousness, totaling sixteen. The second, there are eight who believe in no consciousness, such as believing that the self is unconscious with form, like hair and nails; believing that the self is unconscious without form, like space; believing that the self is both; believing that the self is neither, these four. Four believe that the self has boundaries and no consciousness, etc., totaling eight. The third, there are eight who believe in neither consciousness nor no consciousness, such as believing that the self is with form, neither conscious nor unconscious, etc., four, believing that the self has boundaries, neither conscious nor unconscious, etc., four, totaling eight. The fourth, there are seven annihilationists, namely humans and gods of the desire realm, and the three of the form realm and the four of the formless realm, all seven of whom believe that life will be cut off after death. The fifth, there are five who believe in Nirvana in this life, namely the gods and humans of the desire realm through desires, and through the four dhyanas, if they are very familiar with their respective meditations in this life, they believe in Nirvana in this life. For these, negating self and having boundaries, etc., has the same meaning as before, because of no-self, so these consciousnesses

Not established in places like land, etc., and if unconsciousness becomes self, then it cannot be the basis of happiness and suffering, etc., and because of the contradiction of having or not having consciousness, etc., therefore neither both nor neither is established, and also, cessation is not momentary and has not been established as a permanent substance, therefore, after refuting, for those born in desire realms, etc., the reason for the continuity of birth being cut off is not established, and also, merely being very familiar with desirable qualities and meditation, therefore liberation is not attained, because these have not transcended the nature of samsara, and also, it is not a method of permanent liberation. One hundred and twenty like Leaf-Clad Mother: Leaf-Clad Mother, Victory Party, Without World, Livelihood, Three Staffs, etc., the rules of these one hundred and twenty schools are: From the aspects of past occurrence, present existence, and future occurrence, there are three hundred and sixty, all of which speak of permanence and annihilation, therefore they wander like a wheel in the non-path. The first of the eleven categories, the ten equal heads: For the Hearers, the equal head is the nominalist, for the Solitary Realizers, the equal head is the eater, similarly, for the Mind-Only school, it is the subtle one, for the Middle Way school, it is the extremely subtle one, for action, it is the intelligent one, for conduct, it is the intelligent conduct one, for the Yoga Tantra, it is the intelligent yoga one, for the Father Tantra, it is the one who practices asceticism, for the Mother Tantra, it is the Victory Party, for the Non-Dual, the equal head is the fainting achiever, for these, from the elements of the five great elements and the five great ones, there are one hundred. These classifications, although not separate schools, are merely names. Nine permanent ultimates: Considering the general characteristic as permanent, and, the particular characteristic of self and the lord of power as the permanent creator, the words of the Vedas are permanent, the inexpressible self is permanent, the tangible is permanent, the qualities are permanent, the essence and the self are permanent, the nine meanings of words are permanent, the place of knowledge is considered permanent, for these, the nature of permanence, the self, and the three transformations of essence, in the ways of knowing, acting, touching, and behaving, the general characteristic, relationship, and the power of effort, etc., eleven, measured in sequence, there are one hundred and one. For these, some say that if the nine roots are measured in sequence by eleven, there will be ninety-one, and on top of that, add the two permanent general and particular characteristics, etc., but it should be examined according to the source. Six sophists: The Victory Party, in order to establish that the person is omniscient, establishes not speaking as a reason. The intelligent ones believe that the self exists in all.
