It would be a fallacy because of the same reason. If they meet sequentially, then the moment of Āḥ (ཨཱཿ, Āḥ, āḥ, Ah) would be divided into two parts, because the former part meets with Oṃ (ༀ་, Oṃ, oṃ, Om), and the latter part meets with Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ་, Hūṃ, hūṃ, Hum). If you accept that, then the indivisible moment is ruined. If the former and latter meet, the moment will become two units of time. If the two are simultaneous, then a kalpa will become a moment. That is what should be said. The examination of length: At the moment of knowing both Lhasin and Chosin, Lhasin's consciousness would become two moments, because at the moment when Chosin's consciousness arises for one moment in the interval of birth, is there a difference in length between the two and the one? If not, then a kalpa would also become a moment, because it is not long or short by connecting. If there is, then that moment would be divided into two parts. That is, Lhasin's previous consciousness would be divided into two parts, because the former part does not associate with Chosin's consciousness, and the latter part does. Chosin's consciousness would also be divided into two parts, because the former part associates with Lhasin's consciousness and the latter part does not. That is actually an examination of whether the two previous and subsequent thoughts meet or not. In the Ratnavali it says: "The beginning, the middle, and the end, if thought of as moments, because of being the nature of three moments, the world does not abide in a moment." When we know that phenomena are not established in appearance by such reasoning, we enter into understanding the meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom. In the Abhisamayalankara it says: "When conditioned and unconditioned things, and black and white dharmas, are completely broken down by wisdom, and not even a particle is perceived, then in the world, one goes to the Perfection of Wisdom." There are three refutations of the ultimate Arhat: refuting the accumulation of the sangha, refuting the determination of lineage, and the state of the noble ones. The first is: Arhats do not expand, because they do not accumulate the sangha. The premise of this argument is not established, because in reality, the accumulation or non-accumulation of the sangha is not observed. They do not accumulate the sangha, because they do not take birth in the three realms, because they have abandoned the cause of taking birth, which is the subtle afflictions abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of meditation. This argument is also not established, because if Buddhahood is not attained, it is impossible to abandon all the evil destinies of subtle afflictions, because the Shravaka Arhat

Because one does not understand the meaning of "aeon" characterized by place, time, and self-nature, it is necessary to inquire about the path. The Ratnagotravibhāga states: "Therefore, until Buddhahood is attained, nirvāṇa is impossible. Just as one cannot see the sun after abandoning light and rays." It is also unreasonable to assert a fixed lineage, because obscurations are adventitious and therefore equally capable of being purified. If they are purified, then there is no reason why śrāvakas could not become Buddhas. Regarding the state of the noble ones, this is said to dispel the fear of those with inferior faculties and to lead them to rest from the suffering of saṃsāra. The Lotus Sutra states: "What is said here about entering nirvāṇa is that although you are liberated from the sufferings of saṃsāra, you have not yet fully entered nirvāṇa. You should seek this supreme Buddha-vehicle. The emanations of the guides are like this: they show nirvāṇa for the sake of rest. After resting, in order to fully enter nirvāṇa, strive to reach the state of omniscient wisdom." And, "Śāriputra will also become a Tathāgata named Padmaprabha (Lotus Light)." Subhūti will also become a Tathāgata named Candra-ketu (Moon Banner)." And, "Those śrāvakas, until they are urged by the Buddhas, remain in a state of stupor, intoxicated by samādhi, with a single body of wisdom. After being urged, they arise with attachment to the welfare of sentient beings in various forms, accumulate merit and wisdom, and attain Buddhahood and enlightenment." Thus, residing in the realm of cessation for ten thousand aeons, after being urged, they are born from a lotus in a pure land and initially generate the mind of enlightenment. The Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra states: "Arhats also enter complete nirvāṇa and then enter cessation. After ten thousand aeons, they generate the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment." Having generated the mind of enlightenment in this way, when practicing the path, due to the habit of the previous evil mind of seeking only peace, the mind that is weary of saṃsāra and desires to quickly enter nirvāṇa obstructs the purification of the Buddha-field and the completion of the accumulation for maturing sentient beings. Therefore, for the initial bodhisattva, the time of initially generating the mind of enlightenment is the same, but the generation of the mind of enlightenment by the śrāvaka is delayed until after an aeon.
