If the god is not someone else, then it is impermanent and changes. If the god is someone else, then the continuum is not reasonable. As it is said in the Bodhicitta Commentary: Similarly, the aggregates combine, and are born in another existence, the wise should always ascertain that there is no transference. As it is said in the Sutra of the Immaculate Moon: These dharmas are like the sky, no one is born, no one dies, although there is no transference to another existence, beings appear to be born and die, like a dream, empty of essence, children are deluded by clinging to self. As it is said in the Jewel Hand Sutra: Those with childish minds, clinging to signs, therefore practice dharmas that do not exist in the world. As it is said in the Mother Sutra: Form has no transference and no combination, because form is completely pure. Similarly, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness have no transference and no combination, because they are completely pure. Thus it is said. There are three refutations of past and future lives: dependence, imputation, and non-encounter. Dependence is: past and future are not established, because the present itself depends on the former being the latter, and depends on the latter being the former, so in any case, it cannot be established as past or future. Imputation is: the present life depends on the past and future, and the past and future present lives have ceased and are not born, because the mind imputes to things that do not exist. Non-encounter is: the past, future, and present three cannot be a single stream of consciousness, because the encounter is blocked. Because the beginning and end are not established, the present is also negated and not established. As it is said in the Root Wisdom: If the world has an end, then how will the other world be? If the world has no end, then how will the other world be? Thus it is said. Then how is it established as a Carvaka, and how is the naked ascetic refuted? Depending on the two truths, it exists like a dream and illusion in the conventional, and does not exist in the ultimate, the two are not contradictory, as it is said in the Two Truths: If examined by reason, it is not real, otherwise it is real, therefore, how can the real and unreal contradict each other in the same real thing? Or things are not in their nature, but appear in illusion, as it is said in the Root Wisdom: Dream
