Killing evil-doers themselves purifies sins, in order to protect the place that has become supreme. From the same [text]: "In order to protect beings and manifest clarity, even killing the thorns of non-gods and gods is not a fault, because it is for the sake of protecting the Dharma." So it is said. Purification by protecting life is said to be that if one is threatened by famine and is about to die, even if one steals without being seen, not only is there no fault, but sins will be purified, because by protecting one's own life, which is more supreme than ordinary things, great meaning that benefits this life and the next will be accomplished. From the Secret Word Sutra: "When a Brahmin is in decline, stealing is said to be Dharma, and one may also take the unseen wealth of others." So it is said. Things without cause are said to be that all things do not depend on causes and conditions, but arise from their own nature or spontaneously. Because destruction also has no cause. Just as clouds, hail, lightning, and so on arise from empty space. Just as the sun and moon naturally go from east to west, so they think. From the same [text]: "The sun rises in the east, water flows downwards, thorns are sharp, and the peacock's feathers are bright, all arise from their own nature." So it is said. Consciousness not knowing itself is said to be that oneself cannot act on oneself, just as the eye cannot see itself. So they think. In order to refute it, like the previous tenet systems, there are ten, first refuting the All-pervading Lord, among which there are three refutations of essence, pervasion, and function, among which the refutation of essence is like the refutation of the Lord of Power. Pervasion is said to be that the essence is refuted, and pervasion is also negated. If there is no All-pervading Lord, there is no pervasion by the All-pervading Lord. Just as there is no son of a barren woman, therefore the place pervaded by him is negated. Without a pervader, there is no pervaded. That is to say, if something cannot pervade something, then it cannot pervade whether it is different or non-different. For different things, there is no pervasion at all, because the times are inconsistent, one exists when the other does not. Even if the times are consistent, another cannot appear in one's place, therefore it is impossible to have pervasion, just as light cannot appear in a place of darkness. If one says that even if there is no mixture, but because there is a companion, it can pervade, that is also not possible, because it cannot be established by mutual dependence. Even if it is not different, there is no pervasion, because the pervader and the thing are the same, the pervaded is the pervader itself, or the pervader also becomes the pervaded, just as oneself cannot pervade oneself. Refutation is said to be that it has already been negated in the aggregate. For pervasion, if it is not many and undifferentiated, then

Just as milk turns into water, it becomes indistinguishable, like water mixed with milk. The action is: obstructed by Ishvara. Refuting the Vedas has three points: definition, discourse, and the content to be interpreted. The first point has three: refuting permanence, non-creation, and truth. Refuting the appearance of permanence is explained in the Vaisheshika school. There are four reasons for establishment: name, habit, later knowledge, and not being able to be explained to others. It is only said in name that moments continue, and even if the sound stops, because the habit of sound establishes the same kind, it can be known. Sound is not permanent. Refuting non-human creation has three points: uncertain meaning, the power of mantras not being valid, and being refuted by direct perception. The first point is: wanting to be reborn in heaven and making offerings to fire has no connection, because fire is not heaven, and heaven is not fire. If what humans say is false, then what Brahma says is also false, because it contradicts the meaning of not deceiving, so later non-Buddhists, you will be deceived. And you are also humans, so when showing the meaning of the Vedas here, it will also become deception. If the meaning of words is related, then when the sound ceases, the meaning must be truly determined as impermanent, but because it is thought that the meaning is permanent, it is refuted. The Pramāṇavārttika says: Therefore, wanting to be reborn in heaven, offering offerings to fire, hearing it said to "eat dog meat," this has no meaning, what valid cognition is there here? That's what it says. If you also think that preaching the Dharma with self-born letters and the sound of heavenly drums is the same, then this is produced by the power of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas and the karma of each sentient being, not without cause, so it is not the same. If it is the same as the transformation of Vishnu, then the Buddha is the blessing produced by the power of the two accumulations, etc., and Vishnu in any place cannot have a transformation that is not produced by causes and conditions, these two are not the same. The power of mantras is not valid, even reciting mantras will not produce power, because it is human language, and human language is false. If that is the language of the Vedas, so it will produce power, then it is refuted by direct perception. In reality, human speech is clearly not the language of the Vedas, turn
