I (the author), here it is like sandalwood shavings cannot grow on Mount Malaya. If it is inferred that conditions cannot make it different, it is like if there is only a vase in the clay, even if it is made into a bowl, only a vase can be produced. If it is inferred as mutually contradictory, it is like a piece of iron having both hot and cold, an arrow having both going and stopping, and the simultaneous opening and closing of the palm, etc., existing at the same time. Also, when making statues with dough, all the images of lions and turtles, etc., that can be made, actually exist in the dough as the cause. If this is admitted, it is impossible, so it is actually denied. Since different kinds cannot be in the same place, they cannot exist simultaneously in the same cause. Then, doesn't the scripture say that within the space of a hair, many beings exist? Answer: Those are illusions that do not exist in things, so they cannot be compared. As Nagarjuna said: For whom emptiness is possible, for him everything is possible. For whom emptiness is impossible, for him everything is impossible. If it is inferred as producing the effect of the fruit, it is like the body being burned when carrying firewood, or eating unclean things when eating food, or cotton becoming clothes. As the "Bodhicharyavatara" says: If the fruit exists in the cause, then eating food becomes eating unclean things, buy cotton seeds with the price of cotton and wear them. If it is inferred as the same number of fruits as the cause, it is like each thread, each part of the loom, and each finger of the rope has a felt, because it is not produced from nothing. If you say that it exists in the cause, but not in the condition, then producing from nothing, whether allowed or not allowed, is the same. If it is inferred that everything is the essence of everything, it is like everything sometimes helps each other, such as the road supporting walking, water eliminating heat, and lamps eliminating darkness. Therefore, there will be a hundred elephants, etc., on the tip of a single blade of grass. As the "Pramanavarttika" says: On the top of the grass, there are a hundred elephants, never seen before, now they exist. Like this, who besides the herdsmen of the Samkhya school would say such shameless words? If the examination of clarity and non-clarity is the same, then if the shape of the vase did not exist before and cannot be produced, then how can the appearance of the vase, which did not exist before, be produced? That is not manifested from the essence.

If there is no entity, then there is no basis for transformation. If you ask, clarity and non-clarity are contradictory dharmas, so they cannot be one. If non-clarity can be transformed into clarity, then there is no reason why clay cannot be transformed into a clear vase. Even if you do not want it, existence arises without clarity. The example is not established. For example, children and so on are also existent and not produced, because there is no real production at all. In name, things are a continuum of moments, so the moment in the womb cannot be the moment of production, and the meeting of the moment of abiding and the moment of production, which have no parts, is not established. Refuting the self that enjoys objects: The self that enjoys sound should always enjoy, because enjoyment is constant. If you examine it, it is constant in nature. Similarly, the self that does not enjoy sound should always not enjoy, because not enjoying is constant. Shantideva said: If the consciousness of sound is constant, then at all times it will hold sound. If there is no object of knowledge, then what is known? What is used to say that it is knowable? If ignorance is knowledge, then trees should also become knowable. As it is said. If one enjoys when sound exists and does not enjoy when it does not exist, if you say so. Then I should become impermanent, because I follow sound and sometimes enjoy and sometimes do not enjoy. Refuting the concealment of happiness and suffering: If happiness and suffering are concealed, then it is unreasonable to experience them directly, just like the happiness and suffering of other people's minds. If that is the case, even if it does not become beneficial or harmful. But here, happiness and so on are clearly experienced, and they are not different from the mind, so they are established through the most clear experience. In the Pramāṇavārttika, it says: Not experiencing suffering and so on is not the cause of suffering and benefit. And, those who are of the nature of that and not that, are produced by the real cause of that and not that. Consciousness is not born from other causes, why can't it know suffering and so on? Refuting the concealment of the mind: If one's own mind is concealed from oneself, then just like examining the minds of others, one's own mind is not clear, and there is no proof that the mind exists, and it is also impossible to establish the recognition of objects, and all names will be interrupted.
