Because of the nature of the indestructible vessel. Thus it is said. Moreover, before the destruction of meditation, its gods are born in the upper realms, which is the nature of Dharma. Thus, destruction is twenty intermediate kalpas. Before the destruction of those meditations, the gods who are there naturally attain the mind of the upper realms and are born in the Good Increase and so on, which is the nature of Dharma. The Sutra says: O monks, just as the abodes of meditation are destroyed, the gods move between the Good Increase and the Great Fruit. Those who practice the ten virtues well abandon their bodies and are born among the thirty-three gods. Thus it is said. Although the fourth meditation does not have the appearance of destruction of the kalpa, it is not permanent because it is certain that each one will be destroyed by the transfer of its own karma. In short, from the beginning of destruction to the end of destruction, there are twenty intermediate kalpas. The fourth meaning is to determine the empty kalpa: Thus, it is destroyed and empty, in the state of one sky, equal to the duration of twenty intermediate kalpas. Then again begins the beginning of the formation kalpa. Thus, after destruction, it remains empty for the duration of twenty intermediate kalpas. At the time of emptiness, everything remains in the nature of one sky, that is, it remains in the realm of conditioned and unconditioned, which is a symbol of the dissolution of the Rupakaya in the realm of the Dharmakaya. Again, under it, the aggregation of dust begins to create a realm of the world. After this Sahā world is empty, there are sixty dark kalpas of formation, abiding, destruction, and emptiness. After that, in the kalpas like stars, countless Buddhas appear in the world and so on. In the sky of this place, there have been inconceivable worlds before, and at the end of the future, there will be kalpas of formation, abiding, destruction, and emptiness, and countless immeasurable worlds will appear. Just as this world is, the other ten directions are the same. Thus, the time between the four, formation, abiding, destruction, and emptiness, is equal, so the twenty intermediate kalpas are equal, and the total of eighty is a great kalpa.

It is known as "Bo Gyi." In this way, one should understand how to measure the kalpas at the end of the past and future, and how to measure the accumulation of countless kalpas of the assembly where Buddhas appear, and so on. Now, to conclude, the advice is that one must quickly be liberated from this existence. As just said, even this world of perfect appearance has times of instability. Therefore, abandon the nature of delighting in existence and strive to attain the peaceful and liberating Bodhi. In the time when the first kalpa was well-formed and abiding, although these worlds were radiant and filled with many beings, in the end, they will be destroyed and become empty. Attachment to the present appearances and slight pleasures is unreasonable, because all things that are containers and contents are impermanent and changing. Since one's own life is impermanent and one is manifestly weary of the world, one should abandon attachment to existence for a long time and strive for the supreme Dharma of liberation. This is the advice. From the Great Vehicle's Instruction Treatise, The Wish-Fulfilling Treasury, the Extensive Commentary on the Sixth Chapter, which shows destruction and emptiness, is completed. Seventh Chapter: Explanation of the Chapter Showing the Happiness and Suffering of Vessels and Contents. Thus, after extensively explaining the nature of kalpas, even within a single vessel contained within a kalpa, due to the various manifestations of the karma of sentient beings, a detailed explanation is given of how they experience happiness and suffering. As just said, after showing the nature of vessels and contents in this way, the appearance of alternating happiness and suffering is experienced separately by the six realms according to their karma. Thus, the world of vessels and the sentient beings of contents are various. Even in this single field, the gods mostly have happiness and suffering is latent. Humans have a mixture of happiness and suffering, with slightly more happiness, but suffering also manifests in various ways. In the lower realms, there is mostly suffering and little happiness, with happiness being latent, only the existence of manifestation. Moreover, all manifest and latent happiness and suffering exist alternately or mixed, because they arise from the accumulation of three types of karma: good, non-good, and mixed. Therefore, the result is also experienced as mixed. Those who have only non-good and no good, their result is suffering.
