etc., and they think that the sun and moon also move from east to west naturally. As it is said in the scriptures: The sun rises, the river flows downwards, the thorns are sharp, and the peacock's feathers are bright, all arise from their own nature. Knowledge cannot recognize itself because it cannot act on itself, just as the eye cannot see itself. This is what they think. To refute these views, there are ten refutations as in the previous schools. First, refuting the pervader, there are three refutations: refuting the essence, refuting the pervasiveness, and refuting the action. Refuting the essence is like refuting the independent god. Refuting the pervasiveness is because the essence has been refuted, so the pervasiveness is also refuted. If there is no pervader, there is no pervasiveness by the pervader, just as there is no son of a barren woman, so the place pervaded by him is also refuted. Without the pervader, there is nothing to be pervaded. That is, if something cannot pervade something, then it cannot pervade whether it is different or non-different. For different entities, there is no pervasiveness at all, because the times are different, one exists when the other does not. For the same time, one cannot clearly illuminate the other, so it is impossible to have pervasiveness, just as light cannot illuminate darkness. If it is said that even if mixed, it cannot pervade, but because there is a companion, it can pervade, this is also not possible, because it cannot be established due to mutual dependence. If it is not a different entity, there is no pervasiveness, because the pervader and the thing are the same, so the pervaded is the pervader itself, or the pervader also becomes the pervaded, just as one cannot pervade oneself. From the opposite side, it has already been refuted in the aggregation. In pervasiveness, if it is not many and undifferentiated, it will become many, so the difference cannot be found, just like milk mixed with water. The action has already been refuted in the independent god. There are three refutations of the Vedas: refuting the definition, refuting the scriptures, and refuting the content to be interpreted. The first is divided into three: refuting permanence, refuting non-creation, and refuting truth. The manifestation of refuting permanence has already been explained in the Vaisheshika school. The four things that prove it: name, habit, later knowledge, and inability to explain to others, are only said to be momentary continuations in name. Even if the sound stops, because the habit of being accustomed to the sound retains the seed of the same kind, it can be known, therefore the sound is not permanent. There are three refutations of non-human creation: the meaning is uncertain, the power of mantras is not valid, and it is negated by direct perception. The first is: offering sacrifices to fire in the hope of ascending to heaven has no connection, because fire is not heaven, or heaven is not fire. If what a person says is a lie, then Brahma

The one who speaks of the earth also contradicts the meaning of not deceiving with falsehood, therefore, later heretics, you are liable to be deceived. Moreover, since you are also individuals, you will be deceived in showing the meaning of the Vedas at this time. If there is a connection between words and meanings, then when the sound ceases, the meaning must be actually determined as impermanent. However, since it is assumed that the meaning is permanent, it is rejected. In the Pramāṇaviniścaya, it says: "Therefore, those who desire heaven, hearing that offering fire is giving, is like saying 'eat dog meat.' What valid cognition is there here that this is not the meaning?" That is what is said. If so, are you also the same because you also accept that the Dharma is taught by self-arisen letters and the sound of the gods' drums? That is because it arises from the power of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and the actions of each sentient being. It is not the same because it does not accept causelessness. Is it the same as the transformation of Vishnu? That Buddha is a blessing that arises from the power of the two accumulations and so on. However, it is impossible for Vishnu to have a transformation that is not made by causes and conditions anywhere. The two are not the same. The power of mantras is impossible because the power will not arise even by reciting mantras, because it is the word of an individual, and the word of an individual is deceptive. If it is the word of the Vedas, then power will arise? It is refuted by direct perception. It is clear that the word spoken by an individual is not the word of the Vedas, because it is occasional. The sound of the Vedas is permanent, and it is contradictory to assume this. It cannot be true because contradictory statements are seen, and even if the sound is heard, there is no one who shows the meaning, like the sound of water and wind. Refuting the treatise: words do not show meaning, because the general sound of words and the absence of sound of meaning are not related, and because words cease one after another in an instant, and because each syllable has no meaning, and because all words do not go beyond each syllable. If so, what is it that you also do, teaching and listening? Although it appears that way in a mistaken appearance, in reality, I do not accept speaking and listening, because the teacher Nagarjuna said in praise of speech: "All objects of focus are completely pacified, all elaborations are completely pacified, the Buddhas in any place"
