A city of two thousand five hundred yojanas. Twelve yojanas in width, smooth and comfortable. Adorned with ponds, jewel trees, and lotuses. Outside the city are seven jewel walls. Between the walls are seven moats, adorned with swans. On jewel boats, the gods increase their play and enjoyment. At the four corners of the summit of Mount Meru are four pavilions. Their height is five and a half yojanas. Each side is one hundred and twenty-five yojanas. The yaksha Vajrapani and the gods reside there. The gardens of the gods also have four walls. From Sudarshana to twenty yojanas. They are situated at the past points of the four directions. In the east is the grove of diverse trees, a pleasure garden of various kinds. Jewel ponds and trees, garments and ornaments. The goddesses delight in it. In the south is the Harshana Grove, a pleasure garden called Harshana. At the time of battle, hatred increases. Jewel weapons and strong armor appear. In the west is the Mixed Grove, from the excellent pond. Various mixed enjoyments arise. In the north is the Joyful Grove, filled with goddesses. Adorned all around with jewel spires. The inner grounds are all strewn with golden sand. Jewel gardens, ponds filled with water. Flowers bloom, bees dance, beautiful to behold. Outside the groves, at twenty yojanas. There are four excellent lands, arranged in order. Various Harshana, Mixed, Joyful. On the jewel land, adorned with trees and ponds. The measure and arrangement are the same as the groves. The tree is in the northeast of that supreme city. The All-Gathering Tree rises from the earth, one hundred yojanas in height. With five protrusions at the root, on the branches of the four directions. Five thousand yojanas, increasing by tens, extremely lush. The tip of the heartwood is adorned with fifty parasols. It illuminates all directions with light. The fragrant scent wafts to a range of one hundred yojanas. The villages outside the wafting range are fifty yojanas. Beautiful stone slabs like Amra. The circumference is nine hundred yojanas in a perfect circle. In the center, a jeweled palace shines brilliantly. It barely touches the ground. The gods, in order to protect their own power and activities, have a place for deliberation. The four abodes of the desire realm, relying on the sky, appear in the sky like stars. The width starts from thirty-three and increases twofold upwards. Below the water line of Mount Meru, the Asuras reside. Inside, there are sequentially Rahu stars, white garlands, moving garlands, and skillful artisan patterns. The material is caused by the karma of pretas, and the completion is accomplished by the karma of the gods. It is adorned with splendor and wealth that rivals the gods. In the center of the good golden ground inside, the supreme palace of Indra possesses the key. The city is golden, the assembly place is beautiful with wealth, and there are pleasure gardens like the Delightful Grove, the Very Delightful Grove, and the Joyful Grove of Delight. The name of the ground is also the same as these. The most excellent of trees is the variegated tree. The good stone slabs are the elephant snow heaps, the unbearable, and the swift supreme horse. The arrangement of the form realm abodes is seventeenfold. By obtaining the small, medium, and large of the four dhyanas, it ranges from the Brahma realm to the Great Fruit realm. By alternately meditating on the four dhyanas, small, medium, large, very large, and supremely large, from Cloudless to Akanistha. The other abodes of the noble ones are the five Pure Abodes. Above these is the Peak of Existence. Akanistha is the place for attaining the ten bhumis, clear, bright, and completely perfect. The formless realm has no actually appearing place. The measure of the width is the four dhyanas in sequence: the four continents and one thousand, two thousand, and three thousand. It has been shown up to the Great Fruit realm. The width of the five Pure Abodes is immeasurable. The difference in height and distance from Jambudvipa itself to the Four Great Kings and the Thirty-three is forty thousand yojanas and forty thousand yojanas. From there to Yama is eighty thousand yojanas, and to Tushita is a measurement of one hundred and sixty thousand yojanas. In the space of going upwards, how much is there from Jambudvipa to that place? By calculating the distance above, one can know the difference in height to Akanistha. The four continents, Mount Meru, the six desire realms, and the Brahma world together.
