第二位是卫地的格西帕巴西饶(dbus kyi dge bshes 'phags pa shes rab),洛的贝衮苏拉秋吉西饶(lho'i sbas kun su la mchog gi shes rab),康地的扎·贝吉酿波(khams kyi grwa dpal gyi snying po),雅隆索波·贝吉益西(yar 'brog sog po dpal gyi ye shes),涅莫的哦准·贝吉云努(snye mo'i 'o bran dpal gyi gzhon nu)。

This teaching first descended upon Gnyags, in the middle it descended upon Snubs, and finally it descended upon Zur. The first was Gnyags Tagdra Lhanang of Yar Klungs and the son of Yum Sruza Dronma Kyi. His secular name was Gyalwai Lodro, and his Dharma name was Gnyags Jñana Kumara, who became a bodhisattva of the sixth bhumi. He relied on the master Padmasambhava of Oddiyana, the abbot Vimalamitra of India, the great translator Vairochana, Snubs Namkhai Nyingpo who attained mastery over miraculous powers, and the scholar Yudra Nyingpo of Gyalmo Tsawarong, and received the nectar of the mouths of these wise and accomplished ones. Gnyags Jñana Kumara, who thoroughly understood all the sutras and tantras and whose wisdom was extremely vast, possessed the four great rivers of the three teachings of Kama, Kye, and Dzog, namely: the river of direct explanation of the scriptures, including commentaries, treatises, and emptiness; the river of oral transmission instructions, including key texts and red teachings; the river of blessings and empowerments, including methods of granting and introductions; and the river of practice and activity, including Dharma protectors and fierce mantras. These are like rivers, transmitted from above without interruption, each pair inseparable, and the combination of all four is called the teaching of the confluence of four rivers. The one who embodies this confluence is the master Gnyags, who had countless disciples, but the ones particularly remembered are the four glorious sons, namely: Sogpo Pelgyi Yeshe, Dawa Pelgyi Nyingpo, Tagzang Pelgyi Dorje, and Obran Pelgyi Zhönnu. Some consider them to be eight glorious sons, namely: Nyan Acharya Pelgyang, Tsur Nagpo Yeshe Pel, and so on. Some say there were three sharp-witted ones and five masters of scriptures and oral instructions. The first is Je Wüpa Wa, namely Rabsel Rinpoche, Tagzang Pelgyi Dorje, and Tsur Nag Yeshe Pel. The second is Geshe Pagpa Sherab of Wö, Sbas Künsula Chokyi Sherab of Lho, Dawa Pelgyi Nyingpo of Kham, Yarlung Sogpo Pelgyi Yeshe, and Nyemo Obran Pelgyi Zhönnu. These individuals attained accomplishment, and without abandoning this body of defilements, transformed into a vajra body and went to the realm of vidyadharas, how wonderful!

appeared. Furthermore, Nyak Jñānakumāra taught Aro Yeshe Jungne the "Precious Noble Path Adornment Tantra," the "Wisdom Wheel Clarifying Heart Tantra," the "Great Perfection Sun Essence Tantra," and the "Wisdom Secret Lamp Tantra," among others. Therefore, that school is known as the Kham school. The Kham school's Aro tradition has six Dharma sections: the Aro outer wheel, inner wheel, secret wheel, peg wheel, section wheel, and emanation wheel. The outer wheel includes the "Great Vehicle Yoga," and so forth. The inner wheel includes the Vairochana's teachings such as the "Sutra Explanation," "Sutra Root," and "Sutra Commentary." The secret wheel includes the "Precious Pile of Stakes," and the "Seven Sessions," and so forth. The peg wheel has three types: large, medium, and small. The section wheel includes the forty-two sections, and so forth. The emanation wheel includes the methods of Aro appearing as an emanation body, along with related instructions. These are the divisions of the Aro tradition. Furthermore, Nyak Jñānakumāra taught Nyang Chok Rab Jönnu, and therefore, that school is known as the Nyang school. Nyak Jñāna also taught Sokpo Palgyi Yeshe, who taught Nup Sangye Yeshe Rinpoche, and therefore, that school is known as the Rong school. The Rong school has four styles of teaching: the view is taught in the Gangdri style, the hidden is taught in the manifest style, the sequence is taught in the obstacle-clearing style, and the profound is taught in the womb-containing style. Furthermore, from Sokpo Palgyi Yeshe, it was transmitted to Kortön Sherab Yeshe, and therefore, that school is known as the Korzhuk school. Here, only a brief introduction to the arrival and transmission of the Sutra, Illusion, and Great Perfection is given; detailed information should be learned in their respective lineages. Second, the descent to Nup Sangye Yeshe: Nup Sangye Yeshe Rinpoche is where the four rivers of precepts converge. Nup Sangye Yeshe, from the beginning, possessed the basis for practice. From a young age, he relied on Ödren Palgyi Jönnu, the Nepalese Vasudhara, Rombu Guhyachandra, Guru Padmasambhava, and many other Indian and Tibetan scholars. Therefore, his body, speech, mind, and qualities were filled with jewels, and his wisdom was so vast that it could not be measured by the minds of ordinary people.
