On one side, there were many who were young and mindful. On the side of the elders, there were few who were old and frail, and they were divided into two groups. Thus, from three hundred to four hundred years, there was disagreement on the view of the Dharma, and disputes occurred seven times. The Sangha also, as before, split into eighteen or twenty-two schools from the root and branches. The teachers of each school also composed many treatises. The way they composed them was that, for those with heretical speculative minds, these such as the absence of a self of a person were not non-existent, but were shown to exist, so people tended to think that they existed to some extent. As it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: "Eighteen or twenty-two, all arise from one vehicle, neither existent nor non-existent, I will speak of the future." Therefore, the details should be understood from the Blaze of Reasoning. These people's views and intentions, the treatises of the system composed by the teacher Dulva Lha, and the treatise called "Like the Third," and the Vinaya treatises said to have been composed by the destroyer Gomitra. They established the first turning of the wheel of Dharma, the four truths, as the meaning for guiding those of little merit. Treatises clarifying the signless wheel of Dharma. The second teaching is the treatise clarifying the signless wheel of Dharma. Four hundred years after the Buddha's passing, the noble Nagarjuna appeared. As it is said in the Mahamegha Sutra: "Ananda, if the young Licchavi sees this being, he will be delighted. Four hundred years after my Nirvana, a monk named Naga will make my teachings flourish, and eventually, the Tathagata Jnana will arise and manifestly awaken as Light." As prophesied, he appeared and brought the Great Perfection of Wisdom Sutra from the land of the Nagas to the central region of Magadha. With the lion's roar of selflessness, he composed treatises that show all knowable things in one way, such as the Six Collections of Reasoning of the Middle Way. The Root Wisdom of the Middle Way, the Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning, the Refutation of Objections, the Thorough Analysis, the Jewel
