Without and so on. Relying on sharp faculties, the mantra vehicle is particularly excellent. Thus it is said. Secondly, there are five aspects to it. The essence is the supreme secret method for directly realizing the truth of the naturally arising wisdom realm of clear light, and it is a term for measuring the realm of spontaneous generation and completion. The definition is that it is called "mantra" because it is supremely praised for protecting from afflictions and quickly achieving enlightenment. The purpose is to quickly liberate the sharpest of sharp faculties. The result is to achieve the supreme state of the protector Vajradhara in one lifetime, in the bardo, or through (multiple lifetimes). There are two divisions: the outer Shravaka Sutra vehicle and the inner Upaya Tantra vehicle. As it is said, in "Rigpa Rangshar": "There are two kinds of Vajra vehicle: the outer Shravaka Sutra and the inner Upaya Tantra." Thus it is said. Question: Why is mantra established as a tantra? Answer: Because it mainly measures the clear light of the realm of the continuum of beings, it is called that. The first (outer tantra) is also divided into three: the Kriya Tantra vehicle, the Ubhaya Tantra vehicle, and the Yoga Tantra vehicle. As it is said, in that very text: "There are three kinds of outer tantra: Kriya, Ubhaya, and Yoga." Thus it is said. The first (Kriya Tantra) is that one desires to attain siddhis by practicing the three purifications and cleanliness, and by practicing oneself and the deity as lord and subject. This is divided into two: focusing on purification and focusing on visualization. The first is to purify the body by taking baths and practicing cleanliness, and to meditate on the body as the body of the deity, that is, to take three baths, change clothes three times, rely on three white foods, rely on three sweet foods, and so on. The way in which this is superior to the lower one is that it does not regard conventional appearances as true, but visualizes three things, that is, visualizes the body image on the picture, so that all appearances clearly appear as the deity of the form, and because it does not abandon the form, it does not abide in the extremes of one and many. Visualizing speech on syllables, so that all sounds clearly appear as the deity of speech, thereby transforming into reciting words, not abiding in the arising and ceasing of the four extremes, the extent of the sound is none other than the deity of speech. Visualizing mind on mudras, so that all memories and thoughts clearly appear as the deity of samadhi, all thoughts are none other than

Because it does not dwell on great dependent origination, it is unborn and uncreated even in conventional truth. In ultimate truth, the deity of the yidam, the wisdom being, and oneself, the commitment being, are viewed as being in a master-servant relationship, thereby pacifying obstacles and attaining accomplishments. Relying on common accomplishments, one does not abandon conventional truth; relying on supreme accomplishments, one does not cultivate ultimate truth, thus it is particularly excellent. The main focus is on visualizing and meditating on the deity of focus through the subtle operations of the generation stage and completion stage, visualizing form, sound, and conceptual thoughts as the body, speech, and mind of the deity. With purity as the main focus, emphasis is placed on the cleanliness of body and speech; with focus as the main focus, emphasis is placed on the cultivation of the mind. As it is said: In "Rigpa Rangshar" (Self-Arisen Awareness), it says: The tenets of Kriya Yoga are: The entrance gate is the three purities, entering through bathing and cleanliness. The vows to be protected are as follows: Do not drink water from the same valley, and act without distraction. Perform the three pure actions. What are the three purities? The purity of the deity and mandala, the purity of offerings and enjoyments, and the purity of mantras and samadhi. The view of realization is as follows: The deity and the yogi, both are viewed as being in a master-servant relationship. The stages of abandonment are as follows: Abandon meat, fish, and garlic, as well as alcohol, etc. Be attached to samadhi. Such is Kriya Yoga. Thus it is said. The fifth meaning, the vehicle of both tantras, Ubhaya Yoga is: Because the conduct is like Kriya and the view is regarded as Yoga, it is called the "Vehicle of the Hermaphrodite." That is, abiding in bathing and cleanliness, purifying the three doors, and cultivating the mandala, Hevajra, etc., through the five Abhisambodhis, etc. That is, in "Rigpa Rangshar" (Self-Arisen Awareness), it says: Ubhaya Yoga is like this, the view is viewed as Yoga, and the conduct is practiced as Kriya. Therefore, it is known as the Tantra of Both. Thus it is said. The sixth meaning, the vehicle of Yoga Tantra, Yoga is: Through the gate of the five Abhisambodhis, regarding oneself and the deity as brothers and friends, practicing vows and cleanliness, hoping to attain the state of the Great Bliss Wheel as the result. The divisions are: focusing on action and focusing on samadhi. The former is performing ritual actions, that is,
