The view on "permanence" is: the tenet of permanence, that is, the tenet of constancy. The reason for permanence is like this: From the mandala of one's own mind, it does not arise from the cause of the father, nor does it rely on the condition of the mother. If it is large, it is as large as a pea; if it is small, it is as small as a mustard seed; even smaller, it is as small as the tip of a hair; it is oily, round, white, and clear. Like that, the nature of the cause, originally does not change, it is permanent. It and the aggregate of habitual tendencies, exist together without separation, therefore, it is considered the tenet of the permanent cause. The result of permanence is like this: By relying on and worshiping the primordial or great Ishvara, through its merits, even if the initial body is abandoned, it will be born in its own place. The primordial or great Ishvara, having done it, is considered the permanent result. The two types of permanence and annihilation, are inconsistent in their respective meanings. Thus it is said. Secondly, to explain in detail the meaning of those sixty branches: Again, it is said from there, the view of the Samkhya is like this: the three of atoms, darkness, and courage are considered permanent. Moreover, it is believed that ignorance is the basis. Desire generates happiness. Anger repels the army. That is the view of the Samkhya. The view of the Vaisheshika is like this: the external aggregates, elements, and sense bases are regarded as extremely minute dust. Moreover, first grasped by the holder, counting the atoms and extremely minute particles, this is the cause of destruction. This is the cause of emptiness and nothingness. Abandoning this body, the mind clings to the habitual tendencies of space, this body clings to the habitual tendencies of arising, and it dwells on the edge of emptiness and nothingness. The tenet of Kumaras is believed to be like this, that is, they believe in a body without mind. The body has no mind, and when the body is abandoned because of no mind, it is considered emptiness and nothingness. The tenet of the Auricularists is like this: this appearance, in a temporary situation, is seen as permanent, but ultimately, this appearance is considered impermanent. In the appearance of the afterlife, it is considered the retinue of the primordial or great Ishvara. The view of the Auricularists is also like that. Secretly relying on the five fires is like this: a person dwelling in the pure land manifested by the Buddha lights a butter lamp, and Buddhahood is manifested from the appearance of the five wisdoms.
