The object is like this: form, sound, smell, taste, dharma, tangible objects, and the appearance of the four great elements, and the appearance of different causes and conditions for entering, and so on. The object of emptiness is: all emptiness, and being separated from all grasping consciousness. There are two types of non-objects: those that transcend limits, and those that transcend views. That which is called transcending limits is not grasping all things as self. That which is called transcending views is called inexpressible. Thus, these distinctions are not established from the very appearance of being real, like illusions and dreams. The essence is empty and non-existent, merely a clear and illusory appearance. The nature of mind, the essence of self-originated wisdom, arises from ignorance, and the essence is born as an obscuration. When these illusions are cleared, it is called the manifestation of stainless clear light. Now, these natures generated by karma and afflictions rely and abide on the very face of karma and afflictions. Moreover, it relies on improper conceptualization, the six or seven aggregates of consciousness, and the alaya consciousness. And that (improper conceptualization) abides in the pure nature of suchness of the self-originated wisdom mind. That (suchness) does not abide in anything, so it is called self-originated wisdom. As it is said in the Uttaratantra: Earth abides in water, water abides in wind, wind abides in space. Space does not abide in wind and water, nor in the element of earth. Similarly, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases rely on karma and afflictions. Karma and afflictions are improper mental activity, which always abides in mental activity. Improper mental activity abides in the purity of mind. The nature of mind, all dharmas, does not abide in anything either. Thus it is said. Among them, karma is of three types: pure, impure, and mixed, or merit, non-merit, and immovable karma. Meritorious karma is: in this case, the ten virtues, which generate the happiness of samsara, and all things that are in accordance with merit. Non-meritorious karma is: the ten non-virtues and the five heinous crimes, and so on. Immovable karma is: the karma that generates in the upper realms, because it does not change into anything else, it produces results. There are six afflictions, as it is said in the "Sun and Moon Union Sutra": Afflictions

There are six afflictions. Ignorance refers to clinging to the aspect of fundamental delusion and conceptualization. Dullness is delusion arising from the aspect of wisdom. Hatred is delusion arising from the aspect of the generation stage. Pride is delusion arising from the aspect of view. Desire is delusion arising from the aspect of appearance. Jealousy is delusion arising from the aspect of non-realization. These and so on. Afflictions are the mind that follows thoughts, the intellect that follows memories, and the conceptualization that is the basis of connecting habitual patterns and all doubts, as well as the aspect of clinging to objects and things, and so on, which are immeasurable." "If differentiated, there are eighty-four thousand levels of conceptual aggregates. Desire, hatred, and dullness, and those equally divided, there are twenty-one thousand. All of these arise from clinging to what does not exist as self, like mistaking a mirage for water, similar to mistaking a rope for a snake. All of the container and contents and afflictions are non-existent, but appear in the appearance of clear light. From the Pearl Rosary: Thus, various appearances, like seeing a snake on a rope. By grasping what is not that as that, the outer and inner container and contents are formed. If analyzed, it is just a rope. The container and contents are empty from the beginning. It is the ultimate and conventional form. Seeing the snake itself is seeing the truth. Seeing the rope is truly seeing the truth. For example, like a bird's nest on a height. The nature of the two truths is only worldly convention. There is no connection to the true reality. From the realm of emptiness, all its essence is liberated. As the former said: The aggregates are like illusion and emanation. Thus, these realms of container and contents, aggregates, etc., are called the Dharma of Samsara, and having known their nature, liberation from suffering, each entering into the pure essence itself, is entering into the ultimate truth. Here, in the Tantra of the Union of Sun and Moon, it says: All of these are the sole cause of Samsara. In the Supreme Treasure of the Vehicle, it says: The Dharma of Samsara is extensively classified, which is the third level. Having known the nomenclature of the Dharma of such deluded appearances, to establish the philosophical tenets that measure them, to widely determine the nomenclature of the Vehicle, is...
