Burned. Seven suns rise, Mount Sumeru, the seven mountains, and hundreds of thousands of kotis are all burned. From the swirling flames, down to the golden foundation of the hellish realm, up to the Brahma world, it burns, intensely burns, completely and intensely burns until not even ashes remain, burning seven times. The seven suns and seven burnings are the seven fires. Then, the peaceful and clear water below churns and scatters, covering up to the second dhyana seven times. Like salt dissolving in water, it is destroyed along with the immeasurable palace. Those are the seven waters. Then, the wind vajra cross rises from the foundation below, scattering everything completely, destroying everything below the third dhyana, becoming one space. Thus, after formation, duration, destruction, and emptiness, the nature of space becomes one and empty. That is also, in the common vehicle, these four are the same, and twenty, twenty, and eighty intermediate kalpas are considered to be one great kalpa. Purification is the combination of formation, destruction, and emptiness within the four: birth, old age, sickness, and death, as stated in the Transformation of Ashes: The meaning is destruction and formation, abiding and emptiness, birth and old age and sickness and death, are the wheel of existence. Combine with this. That is also from the initial immeasurable to the final ten, including the initial, the interval between the initial, the curve, etc., there are twenty. As much as the increase upwards and the decrease downwards, at the last ten of the decrease downwards, there is one minor kalpa each of disease, weapons, and famine. The last is: Then the entire container and its contents are destroyed. That is also the three: abiding, destruction, and emptiness. In this uncommon vehicle, sixty, sixty intermediate kalpas are the same and equal, and one hundred and eighty is called the first eternal kalpa. One hundred and eighty eternal kalpas are called the second intermediate kalpa, and one hundred and eighty intermediate kalpas are considered to be one great kalpa. Those are also as stated in the Transformation of Ashes: The change of time is like this, from the initial immeasurable to the final ten, upwards increase and downwards decrease, disease and famine and weapons, are separated by three minor kalpas. After sixty have passed, again, fire seven and water seven, thus after fourteen are complete, the remainder is destroyed by wind. Thus sixty abide, the duration of destruction is also that much, between sixty

Also, it does not abide in emptiness. Thus, one hundred and eighty, is considered the first long kalpa. Thus, one hundred and eighty, is the second intermediate kalpa. Thus, the amount of these combined is one great kalpa. Thus it is said. The details of these, along with a vast understanding, are as extensively explained in the expanded tantra of the Wish-Fulfilling Tree. In the Precious Treasury of the Supreme Vehicle, the teaching of the container and content world is the second chapter. Having thus shown the order of the field to be tamed, the container, and the content, now, concerning the categories of the aggregates of phenomena, etc., that exist in the realms of those three vajra places, from the Tantra of the Union of Sun and Moon: 'Realms and aggregates, and sources, faculties, objects, object-possessors, and consciousnesses, how they abide, should be well determined.' The meaning of what is said is fivefold: the distinctions of the realms of objects, the nature of the aggregates as support, the differences of the sources as aspects, the essence of the faculties as apprehenders, and the aspects of objects and object-possessors. The first is that which is called realm (khams) because of its meaning of being many and vast. Divided, there are two: that which is included by the external environment and that which is included by the internal mind. The first is the five elements, which are the cause, condition, support, and essence for producing, abiding, and destroying form. The characteristic of earth is hardness and solidity, the characteristic of water is wetness and moisture, the characteristic of fire is heat and burning, the characteristic of wind is movement and lifting, and the characteristic of space is vastness and openness. These produce and maintain the container and its contents. Thus, from that very text: 'The realms included by the external environment are five: the earth realm produces the basis of the body, therefore it is a realm; the water realm holds the name, therefore it is a realm; the fire realm ripens all objects, therefore it is a realm; the wind realm supports all the moving world, therefore it is a realm; the space realm holds the faculties, therefore it is a realm.' The realms included by the internal mind are the two appearances of container and content. Among these, the container appears as an object because it is accumulated by karma. Divided, there are two: the appearance of the external environment arising from the delusion of the mind, and the appearance of the internal mind arising naturally from the clarity of awareness. The first is the habitual tendencies of the mind's appearance of objects.
