The wondrous and rare wisdom is, there is no past, no future, and originally there is none. Now it transcends the realm of conceptualization, it is the nature of emptiness without boundaries. Beyond words, detached from thought, the essence is empty. Because the nature is not distinguished, compassionate activity does not appear. From the third of the wisdom appearances, grasp the rain of wisdom that arises from disillusionment. There is no limit to distinguishing this, from the wondrous play of non-existence, the Buddhas attain the fruit. Outer and inner are all the realm of Dharma, nothing appears in this. Thus it is said. The third is the wisdom of the object, which is that the five objects such as form are self-liberated, and the Dharma nature of the four appearances is obtained in an increasing manner. Again, from that itself, it is said, furthermore, the wisdom of the object is explained, from the distinctions of form and sound, the experiences to be learned also become fivefold. The exhaustion of the experience of knowing is appearance, like the waxing moon showing increase, each appearance has an experience. Furthermore, the wisdom of the object is explained, from warmth, measurement, and signs, the union of the two truths, the limits of conceptualization are exhausted. Because there is no action, the characteristic is empty. Because the object of expression is stopped, the boundary does not remain. Because the outflows are exhausted, it is not a coarse thing. The source of memory is stopped, the essence is clear. Clear awareness does not conceptualize the boundary of the object, because it is without words, truly without words, all that is relied upon is exhausted. Thus it is said. The fourth meaning, each meaning has two aspects: brief explanation and detailed explanation. The first is that the basis is the heart essence of the Sugata, the Buddha whose nature is spontaneously accomplished, the abiding reality, the great wisdom of meaning, pervades all sentient beings without addition or subtraction, large or small, good or bad. The common scriptural authority, in the Sutra of the Tathagatagarbha, it is also said that within the bodies of all sentient beings, the Tathagatagarbha abides as it was from the beginning. In the Uttaratantra, it is said, because the body of the perfect Buddha is radiant, and because suchness is without distinction, and because there is lineage, therefore all embodied beings constantly have the essence of the Buddha. Thus it is said. The uncommon scriptural authority, in the Two Examinations, it is also said that sentient beings are indeed Buddhas, but are obscured by sudden stains. In the Dohakosha, it is also said that all scholars explain the treatises, but do not realize that there is a Buddha in the body. Thus it is said. The unsurpassed scriptural authority is the Vajrasattva Heart Mirror of

From the Secret Tantra: It is said that for all sentient beings in the realms of the world, the essence of the Thus-Gone One exists like oil pervading sesame seeds. If it exists in this way, one might think that it should be directly visible. However, the appearance of the body, along with its light, is obscured by the coarse physical body, and therefore it is not within the realm of sight. Nevertheless, it is now like the sun residing within the clouds of the body. By introducing it within the heart essence, trust is generated by pointing out the lamp of the empty sphere (Tibetan: ཐིག་ལེ་སྟོང་པ།). Speech is obscured by language, and the mind is obscured by thoughts, and therefore it is not seen. If a diligent person cultivates the four appearances to their fullest extent, it will exist as it does now, and in the bardo, it will temporarily appear as its own pure appearance. Now, it is obscured by the shell of habitual patterns, like a garuda egg enclosed by its shell. In the Tantra of the Great Perfection of the Lion's Complete Prowess, it says: In the self-body of all sentient beings, Exists the appearance of pure wisdom. It cannot appear because it is vast, Like the womb and the shell of an egg. Although it is obscured and does not manifest, It will appear when its own power is perfected. As soon as this body of thoughts is abandoned, One will meet with one's own appearance as the field. The self-awareness that has always been present, Its essence will be seen as non-thought. The appearance of pure wisdom, And the truth of the Buddha will be seen. The essence of self-appearing wisdom is, Without the thoughts of the mind. The realm of the past and the realm of the future, The appearances are directly cut off. That self-appearance of great wisdom, Although it is not in the manifest realm, There is a self-born lamp to point it out. The wisdom of the lamp itself is, Beyond the limits of appearance and non-appearance. That is to say, that great wisdom resides as the essence-body in the palace of the pure light channels in the center of the heart, and therefore it possesses the complete marks and signs of the five lights. Because its nature abides in light, the appearances of the five wisdoms are limitless. Because compassion abides in awareness, knowing is clear within. Its radiance shines in the conch palace, and therefore the complete mandala of the wrathful Heruka resides within it. The radiance that appears as light, rays, bindus, and minute bindus naturally exists in the four great channels that branch out from the light channel of the heart, and it exists as the four lamps in the eyes ○ཕ. That is, in the heart (Tibetan: ཙིཏྟ།) is the body, in the four great channels are the bindus, in the conch palace are the rays, and in the eyes, that is, between the eyebrows, is the vajra skull cup island.
