It is the rope that gathers the senses. Thus it is said. Fourth, regarding the nature. The general nature is that it arises as capable of holding visual appearances, it is the appearance of an object. There are three aspects to its own nature, among which, the nature of the rope that gathers the elements is that it abides in the category of appearance, collection, holding, and expansion. The nature of the gathering of wisdom is that it clearly holds the self-appearance of clear light. The nature of the gathering of the senses is that it holds appearance and the object of appearance and the self-consciousness of eye consciousness. Among these, appearance is that which previously appears as an object, established as mountains and so on. The object of appearance is the self-characteristic of things, like rocks and so on. Appearance is non-conceptual awareness and the aspect of symbolic names, while the object of appearance is the self-characteristic of things, abiding in matter and so on. Again, it says in that very text: This is what its nature is like, the arising action is without interruption, the essence of the senses is at the door of the eye, it abides in the lotus eye because it arises. Its own nature holds the senses, from the elements arises projection, it appears as collection, holding, and expansion, from wisdom arises seeing, abiding and holding the upper one. The senses, with objects and object-possessors, and those without objects, all hold themselves. Thus it is said. Among these, objects are the forms that can appear. Object-possessors are sense consciousnesses. Without objects are non-existence, clear appearance, the appearance of a double moon, and so on. Fifth, the place is the lens of the eye, initially when the body is formed, within the triangular knot of the navel cord, the eye of the lamp and the eye of the elements arise, from which the root-support of the eye, the sense, and the essence of the light channel arise, from the navel to the heart, from the heart to the wing of the vertebra, from the inner side of the two ears to the medulla of the brain to the two lenses of the eye, without blood and serum, the two like horns of vamen, inside filled with threads of light, piercing into the lamp of the water gate. That is also, the two light channels within the two channels, actually abide in the rope water lamp. It says in that very text: This place is the eye, the seeing action is without interruption, it is the one that holds all objects. From the white conch-like brain, there are three channels spiraling to the right, the channel is in the shape of a vamen horn, the essence of all the senses gathers, it is the one that appears to the objects of the senses, this abides within the channel. Thus it is said. That channel also has one root upward on the wing of the spinal cord, in the cavity of the moving skull

After entering, the two right and left of the three channels pierce the two eyes, and the middle one pierces the Brahma hole. From within that, the body of non-discriminating wisdom, the Vajra chain, and the five-layered halo of light spheres appear in nine ways, possessing the components of the four lamps. That is the component of the water lamp at the end of the channel. The sphere is the component of the empty lamp. The five lights are the component of space. Non-discriminating awareness is the component of the wisdom lamp. It is said in the "Pearl Garland": "Non-discriminating awareness, the Vajra chain, appears from the door of great bliss Brahma." Sixth, the way of arising is from the navel chakra. From the "Burning Lamp" it says: Initially, when entering the mother's womb to generate one's own body, "It is the essence of all bodies." "From the great channel knot of the navel chakra, in the central triangle, from the essence of the causes and conditions of the parents, the fruit of the eyes is formed. That is also from the components of both parents, black and white mixed together." Seventh, the door is the central upright point of the essence of the eye's pupil. It says therein: "The door of manifestation is the eyes themselves, the senses manifest to the objects, and all this arises from this channel." Eighth, the similar metaphor is that grasping objects is like a hook. It says therein: "For example, the grasping hook, just as it grasps from whatever appears, these two, samsara and nirvana, are grasped by this." Ninth, there are three measures: The measure of the lasso of the aggregation of the elements is the complete expansion and contraction of the appearance of objects. The measure of wisdom is seeing the Vajra chain. The measure of the aggregation of essence is distinguishing the differences in the appearance of forms. It says therein: "The meaning of the lamp manifesting is the appearance of objective forms, and awareness is also the measure of the appearance of the Vajra chain." Second, regarding the lamp of the empty sphere, there are also twelve aspects: nature, definition, classification, characteristics, location, door, essence, appearance of objects, measure, the lamp itself, the method of practice, and similar metaphors. First, the nature is: the sphere surrounded by the circumference of the five lights, self-luminous, and the color is clear. From the "Burning Lamp" it says: "The lamp of the empty sphere is the source of faith for all phenomena. Whoever knows this possesses the body of the sphere and obtains the field of activity of various habits."
