Being simultaneous with awareness, it dwells there together with the old woman. The king is: the root of affliction, self-grasping. The prince is: the five poisons of affliction. The play is: when the five senses are self-willed and indulge in the five poisons of attachment and aversion. Grasping the old woman is: ignorance being grasped by its own five afflictions, the five poisons becoming one with the nature of ignorance and entering as one taste. That is also now, when the consciousness of ignorance arises in each of the sense gates, it is called encountering the five poisons. Grasping the going to the breasts of the girl is: because the nature of ignorance is present in awareness, awareness is grasped by the object. Wherever attachment and aversion arise and are bound, its nature is awareness, the reverse is ignorance, knowing it is self-liberation. The fifth symbol, the way to reverse confusion, is: again, from that itself, it is said that in the past, in a place called a pile of jewels, there was an old woman who had a precious jewel. Five thieves took it away, and the old woman was overcome with suffering, this is the first analogy. Then, chasing after the thieves, they went to a thorny place. The five thieves stole, and the old woman fainted, this is the second analogy. Then, chasing the thieves from the thorny place, the old woman woke up from her faint, this is the third analogy. Then, the daughter of the old woman, named White Goddess (lha dkar po), said this: Has my jewel not been lost? The five people said: The jewel has not been lost, kill your old woman! If you don't kill the old woman, we won't give you the jewel. So he killed his own mother, ate the meat, drank the blood, gnawed the bones, and destroyed everything. The thieves gave the jewel, this is the fourth analogy. The meaning of this is: the place where jewels are piled up is citta (citta). The old woman is ignorance. The jewel is awareness. The thieves are the five poisons. Being overcome with sorrow is awareness being defiled by attachment and aversion, experiencing one's own suffering. Chasing and cutting off in the thorny place, the old woman faints. With wisdom, examining the confusion of awareness and its co-emergent ignorance with the five poisons, now, when wandering in samsara, recognizing it, it is just the habitual imprints of ignorance and the five poisons lurking. Thus, when the root of confusion is cut off, awareness recognizes its own nature, and ignorance dissolves on its own, which is waking up from the faint after chasing. The fire god is: the arising of wisdom after recognizing one's own nature, asking if the jewel has not been lost? Only after killing the old woman will it be given.

From there, what was given is: When wisdom itself goes into samsara, observing whether one's own face has become bad, not even a hair's breadth has changed. Seeing that there is no damage or breakage. If this part of innate ignorance of one's own face is not abandoned, it will be of no benefit, and it will still be one worse than the previous samsara. Realizing that the five poisons arise naturally in oneself. When observing one's own face internally, at the time of self-awareness, innate ignorance is purified. Thoughts are naturally liberated, so the anger of eating meat can be dwelt in without being abandoned. Attachment is purified, therefore drinking blood. Not understanding is purified, therefore gnawing bones. All afflictions disappear into non-existence. When observing awareness internally, at the time of self-awareness, the five poisons that appear in the external environment, along with innate ignorance, are purified, and it is the time to find the jewel of self-born wisdom from oneself. Sixth, from Self-Arisen, in "Arrangement of Subduing Objects," it says that the Chinese king named Li Gada built a huge chessboard and, after divination, in order to eliminate bad luck, had twenty-one concubines dressed in gorgeous clothes and sent to the crossroads of the main road, saying that they were destined to die, which is strange. Then, the Chinese king Li Gada, that king of illusion, had twenty-one concubines adorned with gorgeous clothes, riding fast horses, opening bright eyes, wearing striking weapons, wearing cutting teeth, wearing clothes to wear, looking for a place to live, looking for a place to settle, looking for a road to travel, and sending them away, saying that they were destined to die, which means: The body and mind aggregate of the afflicted disciple of sentient beings in samsara is the arrangement of subduing objects. The king built a chessboard to perform divination, and sending away the concubines destined to die means: The virtuous teacher puts the tantras, agamas, and instructions into the mind, and guides with twenty-one introductions, so that when the bardo path appears, one recognizes one's own nature, thereby liberating from samsara and cutting off the stream of birth and death. The king had the concubines dressed in gorgeous clothes means: The guru now shows the disciple twenty-one introductions, directly showing the bright clothes of the self-light of awareness. Riding the horse of wisdom, opening the eyes of the four lamps, wearing the weapons of the tantras and agamas, wearing the teeth of the instructions, wearing the clothes of the four appearances, looking for the place of original purity, looking for the abode of the five lights' natural sound, and attaining liberation in the bardo or in this very moment.
