The knowledge of not wanting suffering is craving. From that, taking objects arises as grasping. From that, actions and afflictions increase, and the action of projecting into future births is accomplished, which is becoming. From that, being born into different realms is birth. From that, reaching maturity, aging, and dying are old age and death. Thus, from the beginning to that point, one is deluded by the twelve wheels. Even in one lifetime, when the clear light fades and in the moment of the bardo of becoming, not recognizing one's own nature is ignorance. When the outer breath ceases, death occurs, and in between, the principle of dependent origination operates. Then, the subtle and gross ways of absorption, the sequence of transference through the central channel, etc., are reversed. When deluded appearances empty and return to samsara, from the arising of the naturally occurring state of nirvana, the initial appearance of primordial purity, the appearances of the dharmata bardo, etc., are the manifest appearances of the dependent origination of nirvana. There, if one does not recognize one's own nature, one also wanders in samsara; if one recognizes it, one is liberated, so it is said that samsara is liberated into nirvana. That is, both the ground and the ground's appearance lack ignorance, but because it arises suddenly like a cloud, it is a condition. The special cause is that impure appearances arise like samsara, and the three realms and six classes of beings are each deluded. The Garland of Pearls says: "In the nature of things that abides thus, delusion is primordially nonexistent. The dharmakaya is like the sky, suddenly sentient beings are obscured by clouds." It also says: "That great ground appearance, the name 'ignorance' cannot be established, there is no establishment of delusion." When impure dharmas of samsara arise due to sudden, intense clinging, it is said: "Thus, the three worlds themselves, the five aggregates and five faculties, five limbs and five hearts, five objects and five afflictions, five minds, five thoughts, five concepts, grasping and being grasped are established as samsara itself." It also says: "Earth, water, fire, wind, and space, the great elements arise from that. Gods, demigods, and humans, hell beings, animals, and hungry ghosts, all arise from that great one. Desire, hatred, and delusion, pride, jealousy, and so on, all kinds of magic arise from that. Ignorant sentient beings, minds, aggregates, realms, and sense bases, the collection of consciousnesses, the five faculties, and so on, arise. Sound, smell, and

And also. The nature of what is touched and the objects of desire, Arise from that very lineage of karma. Accumulation and Yama, Varuna, and also, The absence of essence and so on, Arise as its power and play. The alaya and the appropriating, Flesh and blood and pus, Bones and skin, hair, All the accumulated bodies arise from that. Thus it is said. At that time, the six ignorances also arose spontaneously. As it is said in Rangshar: Ignorance is as follows: The root ignorance of mind, The deluded ignorance of objects, The ignorance of the basis of delusion, The grasping ignorance of perception, The fabricated ignorance of the path, The unknowing, deluded ignorance, Thus, the six types of ignorance arise, And one does not see one's own appearance. This is also as follows: The root ignorance of mind is the actual co-emergent, not knowing the true face of the wisdom of awareness, one is deluded. Does this appearance of wisdom arise in me? Is this not my appearance? Such a consciousness arises, and arrogance arises. That which arises with arrogance is the co-emergent root ignorance, and one is deluded by the arising of the thought of self. Then the appearance of the wisdom of awareness is obscured. This is called the root ignorance of mind. Now, the deluded ignorance of objects is shown. By what is delusion deluded? As for objects, before the world was formed, there was a tree called the Wish-Fulfilling Tree, which arose from the blessing of the Buddha Youth Vase Body, and something born from an egg, growing in warmth and moisture. From that, the wisdom of self-arising mind moved, and the world of endurance was formed. This is called the deluded ignorance of objects. The ignorance of the basis of delusion is: the basis of delusion arises from its own impurity. First, the ignorance that is called the cause of the cause actually arises, which is the ignorance of not knowing the basis. From that, there is what is called the object of the condition, like the deluded ignorance of objects. From that, there is what is called the lord of the condition, and self-grasping arises in consciousness. From that, there is what is called the immediately preceding condition, and consciousness becomes coarse, and grasping takes hold. From that, the afflictions become coarse. This is called the ignorance of the basis of delusion. The grasping ignorance of perception is: from that, an immeasurable collection of afflictions
