It is also called "Base." That is to say, measuring from the perspective of the essence of primordial purity, nothing is established. Therefore, in terms of the outwardly manifested light, various differentiated appearances such as light and body colors are not established. However, in its spontaneously accomplished realm of reality, the five primordial lights, body, rays, and bindus appear, which are the very subtle nature. Because they swirl in the realm of reality, they exist in the subtle wisdom of inner clarity. Then, if it is determined that primordial purity is only one-sided, what is the part where body and wisdom appear? There is nothing of primordial purity on the base. If it is thought to arise from its realm of reality, then does it exist or not? If it does not exist, then arising is unreasonable, just as things cannot arise from nothing. If it exists, then it contradicts the view that there is nothing. Therefore, the nature of primordial purity is spontaneously accomplished, and in its realm of reality, in the inner clarity, there exists the subtle wisdom, primordial light, and the subtle appearance of luminous light. Moreover, since the outwardly manifested gross appearance is not acknowledged, it is liberated from the bondage of the extreme of permanence. Since the inner clarity is considered subtle, it is liberated from the bondage of the extreme of annihilation. Thus, the essence of the beginningless, self-arisen wisdom is emptiness, and therefore it is not established anywhere." "The way in which the self-nature luminosity appears does not cease. The awareness of great compassion does not cease, so it is the basis for appearance in any case. The base is the way in which things exist in their nature. Secondly, explaining in detail from each part, there are two types: explaining in detail from the perspective of the emptiness of essence, and explaining in detail from the perspective of the appearance of self-nature. The first is, in relation to the perspective that primordial purity is not established as things and characteristics: there is no knowledge, no ignorance, no Buddha, no sentient beings, no samsara, no passing away, no light, no color, no body, no wisdom, no base, no path, no fruit, no one is deluded, no liberation, no bondage, no emancipation, no karma, no afflictions, no wind, no elements, no is, no is not, nothing, nothing is established, and there is no object. This shows that the affirmative dharma is abandoned by merely the negative dharma. In "Auspicious and Beautiful," it is said: It is called "Great Primordial Purity," which is the place where neither a truly enlightened Buddha nor an impure sentient being appears. It is called "Primordial Light of Unwavering Awareness." About this, it cannot be spoken, cannot be conceived, cannot be pointed to, cannot be measured, cannot be counted, no one can determine, cannot be symbolized, know.
