Adding eleven to forty makes forty-one. Thus, the eighteen categories are those with something to focus on that are extremely without elaboration. Twelve without elaboration, totaling thirty. Twelve that are exceedingly without elaboration, totaling forty-two. Forty-one that are most without elaboration, totaling eighty-three. Forty-eight that are extremely without elaboration, totaling one hundred thirty-one. Sixteen with something to focus on within the category of without elaboration. Twelve without elaboration, totaling twenty-eight. Eight that are exceedingly without elaboration, totaling thirty-six. Eight that are most without elaboration, totaling forty-four, which is one hundred seventy-four. One hundred fifteen with something to focus on, totaling two hundred forty-nine. Furthermore, the indivisibility of body, speech, and mind, along with the four times of past, future, present occurrence, and uncertainty, dividing the two hundred eighty-nine empowerments by associating them with these four, results in eleven thousand one hundred thirty-six. Thus, by just these purifiers, if we differentiate by the transformations made by the twelve different bodies of beings to be purified, there are thirteen thousand six hundred thirty-two. Afflictions are also calculated by their transformations, amounting to eleven thousand seven hundred, of which two thousand nine hundred seventy-two are in excess, which is intended to gather near the edge of karma, in order to purify the distinctions of the aforementioned body and afflictions. Incidentally, showing the number of empowerments determined by the distinctions of the inner winds to be purified, namely, by the order of the winds of the four elements, the four purifying empowerments each have sixteen distinctions of their own nature, each of which is divided into outer, inner, secret, and ultimate fourfold divisions, sixteen with something to focus on, sixteen without elaboration, totaling thirty-two, sixteen exceedingly without elaboration, totaling forty-eight, sixteen most without elaboration, totaling sixty-four, namely, wind from wind, water wind, fire wind, and wind of wind, divided into scattered, piercing, balanced, and disturbed fourfold divisions, totaling sixteen, each of which is divided into male and female twofold divisions, purifying half of the thirty-six deeds. The third general meaning, the result of perfected empowerment has two aspects: temporary and ultimate results.

Son! First, the qualities of the path are generally explained, and the ways of obtaining the four Vidyadharas are specifically explained. First, the elaborate (practice) serves as the basis for obtaining the qualities of completing the twelve paths of accumulation. The non-elaborate (practice) serves as the basis for completing the four parts of the joining path of discernment. The extremely non-elaborate (practice) serves as the basis for completing the path of seeing. The most non-elaborate (practice) serves as the basis for completing the nine bhumis of the path of meditation. Similarly, the bhumi of aspiration, the bhumi of entry, the bhumi of transformation, and the bhumi of decision, each of the four bhumis is applied to each of the four empowerments, thereby perfecting the qualities of the sixteen bhumis, and obtaining the nature of perfecting common qualities. Among them, the elaborate of the elaborate is the bhumi endowed with aspiration, that is, the distinction between compassion and merit. Its non-elaborate is the bhumi of entering purity, that is, relying on certainty through faith, thereby entering the state of autonomy. Its extremely non-elaborate is the bhumi of transforming things into purity, that is, not abiding in the bondage of body and speech. Its most non-elaborate is the bhumi of concluding karma, that is, not abiding in elaboration and samsara. Similarly, the remaining three empowerments should also be applied in this way. If aspiration and so on are also divided into four, then the aspiration of aspiration is certainty through faith. The entry of aspiration is certainty through compassion. The transformation of aspiration is being grasped by skillful means. The decision of aspiration is deciding the meaning with wisdom. The aspiration of entry is aspiring to shamatha. Its entry is entering vipassana. Its transformation is transforming the realization of samadhi into different ones. Its decision is deciding the movement of subsequent awareness. The aspiration of transformation is liberating attachment to clothes. Its entry is liberating attachment to food. Its transformation is liberating dreams into clear light. Its decision is liberating habitual patterns and afflictions. The aspiration of decision is not abiding in samsara through conduct. Its entry is abiding in samadhi through meditation. Its transformation is not abiding in illusion through view, thereby transforming the three realms into the three kayas. Its decision is the fruit of deciding both samsara and nirvana at the same time. Thus, adding the sixteen and the sixteen natures of empowerment together, there are thirty-two in total. Wisdom abides on the sixteen bhumis, divided into four types: birth, dwelling, attainment, and manifestation, four of each type, totaling sixty-four, which perfect the supreme bhumi of Vajradhara. Corresponding to the sixteen natures of empowerment.
