All conceptual thoughts dissolve into the expanse of Dharmadhatu, the cycle of grasping and fixation of day and night ceases, awareness abides in the state of Dharmakaya, free from the mind of clinging to antidotes and excellence, the stains of knowable objects naturally dissolve, without partiality towards acceptance and rejection, enemies and friends, the obscurations of afflictions are naturally liberated and purified. This is reaching the realization of the self-arisen Samantabhadra, called reaching the exhaustion of phenomena. In the tradition of Dzogchen, both Trekchö and Tögal are measured on the path by the exhaustion of appearance and emptiness. By practicing Tögal, the appearance of clear light is exhausted first, like the sky becoming free from clouds, at which point the nature of appearance is exhausted. At that time, all inner afflictions and material objects are exhausted, and one reaches the signs of attaining Buddhahood in this life. Those who realize Trekchö decisively, their awareness, the original purity, emerges nakedly, and its power purifies all clinging and conceptualization, good and bad, of samsara and nirvana. No matter how one thinks, afflictions and conceptual thoughts are liberated from the root and purified, and there is no more birth. This is called the exhaustion of the nature of emptiness. Just as darkness cannot be found when the sun rises at dawn, grasping and fixation are liberated from the root, and bonds are also liberated. Having reached the state of exhaustion of phenomena and original purity in this life, one is called a yogi who has liberated the bonds of samsara and nirvana. The great lord of yoga, Dheke Vajra, said: 'Liberation from bonds, yoga, is like the rising sun at dawn. It is the appearance of Dharmakaya, Emaho!' As it is said. At this time, one abides in the all-pervading, complete, vast, and expansive state of realization, and all afflictions are manifested as being liberated in the nature of reality. Although to others it may seem like there are afflictions, and what is thought in the mind is spoken in words, and gross sensations appear, for the yogi, it is like ashes that have disappeared, like the sky not accumulating matter, without faults and stains, transcending the extremes of good and evil, without bondage and liberation. As it says in the 'String of Pearls': 'Because it pervades everything, other-arising ceases. Because it is self-arisen, darkness is purified. Because it is the essence, it pervades the Dharmakaya. Because it shines clearly, it expands the Sambhogakaya. Because mother and child meet, the Nirmanakaya appears. Because it can be realized, it becomes the means. Because it is beyond thought, thoughts are purified. Because it is neither permanent nor nihilistic, the doctrine is complete. Condensed into essence, therefore'

Ga pa sal! Furthermore, from the "Six Spaces": In the nature of mind like a great thunderbolt, Appearances directly liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind appearing as true, False words liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind appearing as untrue, Taking what is not given liberates in its own place. In the nature of mind appearing as true and untrue, Unchaste conduct liberates in its own place. In the nature of mind without perversion, Idle talk liberates in its own place. In the nature of mind appearing to objects, Slanderous words liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind appearing to move, Wrong desires liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind pure from the beginning, Killing also liberates in its own place. In the nature of mind appearing as cause, Covetous thoughts liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind appearing as result, Harmful thoughts liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind appearing as sound, Sounds liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind appearing as form, Aspects of grasping liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind appearing as smell, Aspects of knowing liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind appearing as taste, Knowing that experiences liberates in its own place. In the nature of mind appearing as touch, Knowing of the touchable liberates in its own place. In the nature of mind appearing as phenomena, General and self-grasping liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind appearing as self, Thoughts of attachment liberate in their own place. In the nature of mind appearing as selflessness, Being without parts liberates in its own place. Thus it is said. Abandoning the semblance of artificiality: Without realizing equality naturally, Clinging to the word "non-duality," Not observing anything, presuming to rely on intellect, This itself is wrong view, a realm of the darkness of ignorance. Those who have not realized naked awareness, Thinking they are unborn like the sky, beyond the extremes of good and evil, Not combining the great words that teach ultimate truth with their own experience, but speaking directly, With coarse behavior and presuming to rely on intellect, These are those who pretend to be artificial yogis. It should be known that they are mostly deceived by demons. Because they gather many retinues and lead them astray, They themselves certainly do not realize that they have gone astray. Therefore, those who wish to go on the right path should abandon retinues and other groups, rely on a true lama, and practice the meaning of the nature of reality alone. This will reverse the situation. From "Self-Arisen Awareness": That also does not exist.
