Even though various names are given, one should recognize that its essence is the naked, pristine, primordially pure self-clarity. Since the essential point of the Great Perfection that is to be expressed is this reality, it is called "Trekchö," it is called "Naked," it is called "Primordially Pure," it is called "Self-Liberated," it is called "Primordial Purity," and it is called "Spontaneous Fulfillment." Although the names are different, their meaning is all this single, naked, pristine bindu. This point is explained very clearly: The ultimate essence of the Nyingtik teachings is this alone. When this point is realized, there is no need for deliberate action or effort. Therefore, this dharma is also called the dharma of attaining Buddhahood without meditation. Because there is nothing to be meditated upon, no meditator, nothing to be guarded, no guardian, and so on. This meaning is superior to all those who have not been liberated from the grasping and fixation of view and meditation that train in focusing inward and scattering outward. It is self-arisen wisdom, free from elaboration. As Khyungen says: All dharmas are free from elaboration and without impurity, This is the supreme key point of effortless self-liberation. Similarly, in the "Simultaneous Arising": Various natures are non-dual, And also free from elaboration in segments, Without thinking of it as it is, The Samantabhadra, the Illuminator, By abandoning the disease of grasping effort, Remaining spontaneously is the holding. Furthermore, in the Kunje Gyalpo Tantra: How it appears is just as it is, Do not correct anything in this, In front of the uncorrected, equal king, Abide in the meaning of the non-conceptual Dharmakaya. The distinction between the power of compassion and the differentiation of grasping and fixation is: The awareness that arises from the power is the mind of elaboration. The habits of grasping and fixation that arise from it have various differences. By grasping the objectless as having an object, the five objects arise; By grasping the selfless as having a self, the five afflictions arise. All the confused appearances of the outer and inner world and its contents, The appearance of samsara also arises from the power. Because of not realizing and grasping wrongly, there is this appearance. Awareness is the essence of compassion, primordially pure, naked, and self-clear, like a clear mirror free from dirt. Because the power of compassion that arises from the beginning is not realized, the two thoughts of "already appeared, appearing, will appear" arise on the object from the power. If one does not grasp the appearance of awareness that arises from confusing the subtle part of clarity and non-cessation as one, it is called wisdom; if one grasps it, it is called thought.

Therefore, abiding or observing is the posture of the great elephant, which is impartial and possesses emptiness. Here, distinguishing the two is like the reflection appearing in a mirror. When the appearance of objects arises in awareness, the naked knowing that does not extend to conceptualization is called the basis of the manifestation of great compassion. If this is not recognized, then the knowing that projects outward onto objects is the conceptual thought of grasping and being grasped. Because of the habit of clinging to external objects, the illusion of external objects is strengthened and manifests in various ways. From clinging inwardly to the mind, afflictions manifest as the five poisons, and karma and afflictions separately form the cycle of illusory appearances. Therefore, there is a difference between awareness not moving from its self-luminous state and projecting outward onto objects. There is a great error on a similar basis. As it is said in the Lion's Complete Power: In the king of self-appearing means, the awareness of power has not ceased, ask your own wisdom. The samadhi without an object, ask in the state of being free from action and effort. The mind that is clear and without beginning, ask in the completely pure realm of reality. This shows the meaning of realization. The root of the co-emergent mind and the root of self-aware objects, on a similar basis, there is a great error. Ignorance appears as mind, and the appearance of awareness without thought, on a similar basis, there is a great error. As it is said in the Six Spaces: Self-awareness is free from thought, and the various feelings that arise in the mind, similar, similar, it is a mistake. The perfection of the power of wisdom, and the thoughts of the mind scattered outward, similar, similar, it is a mistake. This point is very important, and distinguishing the difference is only within the scope of those who have the eye of wisdom. Even if it is explained so clearly, if someone does not understand or relies on perverse views, as SaraHa said: How can a sentient being understand the world? It is certain to fall into what he said. Now, for the realized yogi, the key to the fact that the fluctuation of appearances and the appearance of objects are only a play of illusion, without any contamination, is: From where did it not come, where did it not go, and where does it not abide, in the vast expanse of the nature of reality, realization is the view that liberates the three realms. The words of Ati Lhun Grub Dorje Nyingpo, arise from the vast expanse of Kuntuzangpo, complete.
