Like those others, all others think that just as the sun is seen from the cause and condition of dispelling clouds and darkness, Buddhahood is achieved at the end of the cause and condition of diligent effort. This is contrary to spontaneous accomplishment, so these vehicles contradict each other in their respective tenets. Therefore, the very nature of self-born wisdom is the naturally abiding Buddha from the present, and the difference between existence and non-existence lies in this. The lower ones teach without realizing the true meaning. As it is said in the Treasury of Qualities: In one mandala, all meanings are spoken; In one secret mantra, nine holdings are held. That too is only an appearance. In the nine stages, the essence of Self-born wisdom is not realized. The nature of appearance is in appearance. The ultimate truth and the conventional truth are not different, but one in nature. In the face of original realization, What conceptual thoughts of signs have arisen? All are merely the play of wisdom. In one awareness, all meanings are spoken. The nature of the three kayas, the victorious ones, appears. From the kayas, wisdom miracles arise. Appearance and non-appearance are not Dharma. Realization and non-realization are free from extremes. The nature of the wisdom of appearance abides. The arising vajra is the lord of conditions. So it is said. Now, to dispel the delusion of not distinguishing between self-born wisdom and other-born collections of thoughts, it is said: Nowadays, elephants who pretend to be Atiyoga! The collection of wandering and flashing thoughts is Bodhicitta! This delusion is the abyss of darkness, and far from the meaning of the Great Perfection of self-nature. If you do not know the skill and what arises from the skill, what need is there to mention the nature of Bodhicitta? In this vehicle, even if you only have a little faith, the chance to see well is as rare as dividing a hair into a hundred parts. Swollen with unexamined ignorance, Adorned with a golden net of jealousy and wrong thoughts, Some who pretend to be knowledgeable with the attitude of an elephant and are good at flattery, not only enter the path of afflictions, ignorance and wrongness themselves, but also teach all the sins they encounter to the small fortunate beings who are heading for liberation, saying: Whatever arises is the nature of Dharmakaya. These false thoughts are self-born wisdom. And "Although it is Samadhi, it is the mind of ignorance," etc., with false words to deceive beings.

The Teacher said: They proclaim profound teachings that others do not have, but this is merely a thief of this vehicle who has appeared nowadays. Thus, from the self-born wisdom, the power of compassion arises, and the awareness that appears in the object is said to be the play that arises from the power. But it is not self-born wisdom, because it follows the presence or absence of the object, and if it is not grasped by skillful means, it becomes the karma and afflictions that lead to samsara, and because the nature of its conceptualization and analysis does not transcend the nature of samsara. The All-Creating King Tantra also says: Self-born wisdom knows from the beginning. The wisdom of conceptualizing objects, because it arises from objects, is not self-born. Moreover, in the common vehicle, it is said: Mind and mental factors are in the three realms. Fabricated appearances are conceptualization. This is what is taught from the two truths. Dignāga also said: Conceptualization is great ignorance. It causes one to fall into the ocean of samsara. Because this appears to contradict the above statements, mistaken conceptualization is very frightening. One should not even hear such views, let alone follow them. Here, what is self-born wisdom? It is well explained as follows: Here, the bodhicitta that is pure from the beginning, the truth of the dharma-nature of ultimate reality, is the Prajñāpāramitā beyond words and thoughts, naturally unmoving, its nature is clear light, and it is primordially free from the elaborations of movement and radiation. It is called essence, like the essence of the sun. Its power is the uninterrupted manner of appearance. Awareness is transparent, free from conceptualization and analysis. Although it is clearly manifest, there is no grasping or being grasped. Self-born wisdom is awareness, empty and clear, free from elaboration, like a pure crystal ball, born as the nature that does not contemplate objects. The basis of manifestation is also, in its own nature, there is no appearance or non-appearance, so it remains self-illuminated, empty and clear, and in primordial purity, it is clear and bright. The aspect that appears in various ways from that state is the elaboration of grasping and being grasped. The nature of that appearance, naked and clear, is awareness, abiding as wisdom. Because it is not conceptualization of objects, it is called self-born wisdom. Here, those who do not understand the introduction identify letting go of everything that appears as the view. This is because they have not understood the key point called the fundamental error of conceptualization. From the time of appearance, the place of appearance.
