Appearing to arise from the unborn, yet at the time of appearance, there is no arising whatsoever. Appearing to cease from the unceasing, yet there is no cessation; it is like an illusory empty form. From the very state of abiding, there is no dharma of abiding; there is no basis for the abider, in a state without going or coming. Because whatever appears is not established as such, it is merely labeled as being without inherent existence. That appearance also arises spontaneously from the display of energy, so it is merely a conventional expression of dependent origination. From the very moment of appearing as a display of energy, there is no arising or non-arising, no direction or limitation. Energy is also merely a label, with no inherent entity, so everything is constantly in a state of immutability. Not a particle moves from bodhichitta. From the treasury of the Dharmadhatu, the third chapter, showing the metaphors of bodhichitta. The nature of all-encompassing bodhichitta is not appearance, it transcends the phenomena of appearance, not emptiness, it transcends the phenomena of emptiness, not existence, it has no characteristics of things, not non-existence, it pervades all of samsara and nirvana, not existence or non-existence, spontaneously co-emergent primordial space. Without direction or limitation, without basis or entity, without interruption, the expanse of awareness, bodhi. Without change or transformation, the sky is primordially open, self-arisen wisdom, the meaning of having no equal. Unborn, unceasing, gathered into a single bindu, unconfined, all-pervading, without any direction or boundary. Spontaneously co-emergent, unmoving, the lineage of the vajra heart, this supreme expanse without gathering or scattering, is not an object to be expressed by words, the expanse of wisdom bursts forth, the realm of individual self-awareness. For the yogi who is free from thought and expression, having decided that it is neither expressible nor inexpressible, having not found anything to meditate on or to be meditated upon, there is no need to kill the enemies of sinking and excitement, and conceptual thoughts. In the very nature of things, which is primordially all-encompassing, there is no thought of self and other, this three realms is the field of equal nature, the buddhas of the three times are self-appearing purity, without abandoning or adopting, everything is equally one, there is not a particle to be obtained from elsewhere. All dharmas are clear in that great expanse of mind itself, there is not the slightest deviation from the meaning of equality, without outer or inner, without arising or ceasing, without confusion, dispelling the darkness of the edges, the root is bodhichitta. Without abandoning anything, spontaneously liberated in its own place, the various appearances of beings, the world.

The pure Buddha's body and wisdom, Arise from the power of realization and non-realization. Though unceasingly playing and pervading the expanse of the sky, In the nature of Dharmadhatu, there is only realization and non-realization. Through realization, the pure appearance of the Sugata [Buddha] arises, Non-realization arises from ignorance, grasping, and clinging to habitual tendencies. Although various appearances arise, they do not move from the Dharmadhatu. The Bodhicitta is the basis of everything, Though its characteristics are unceasing and various appearances arise, Its self-luminous nature is clear in the pure Dharmadhatu. There is no distinction in the vast expanse of awareness. The unobstructed wisdom is a vast, self-born expanse, Unobstructed, without inside or outside, it shines with light, The self-aware mind is a great mirror of light. The precious Dharmadhatu is a wish-fulfilling jewel, Without searching, everything is self-born, The glory of self-born wisdom arises as desired. How many great qualities are there? From the Dharmadhatu, the supreme means of the Dharmadhatu arises unceasingly. Everything is spontaneously perfected in the unborn Dharmadhatu, The force of objects subdues the emptiness of the Bodhi realm, The force of emptiness subdues the self-aware Bodhi realm, In the Bodhicitta, appearance and emptiness are primordially inseparable, Non-dual, unattached, immeasurable miracles arise, In the Dharmadhatu of the three times and timelessness, In the unchanging, indivisible, unconditioned realm, The wisdom realm of the awareness of the Buddhas of the three times.
