Like something that doesn't exist, in the clarity of appearance, it's without basis or support, just a sudden appearance. Understand it as a temporary phenomenon. Like the appearance in a dream, it doesn't exist before falling asleep or after waking up, but it appears in the space of sleep. Similarly, the illusion of samsara doesn't exist at the beginning, during the ground of reality, or at the end, during the fruit of nirvana. But now, in between, it appears to the deluded mind, yet from the moment of appearance, it's without existence, just the nature of clear appearance, the appearance of emptiness and form. It doesn't exist as anything substantial because all phenomena are without inherent existence, and therefore, there's no establishment in the three stages of arising, abiding, and ceasing. As it says in the Root Wisdom: "Like a dream, like an illusion, like a city of gandharvas, likewise is birth, likewise is abiding, likewise is destruction." And in the King of Samadhi Sutra: "The beings of existence are like a dream. Here, no one is born or dies. Sentient beings, names, and lives cannot be found. Actions done and accumulated never cease or change." As it is said. These teachings, which show that nothing moves from the nature of reality, arise from the nature of spontaneously present bodhichitta. The play is unceasing, and the magical displays of samsara and nirvana occur. All those magical displays are absorbed into the expanse, so know that nothing has moved from the original state. As much as samsara and nirvana appear, from the moment of appearance, they don't move from the nature of bodhichitta. As it says in the Kunjed Gyalpo: "The root of all phenomena is Kunjed Gyalpo bodhichitta. How it appears is my nature. How it arises is my magical display." Because everything is perfected in the expanse, it is shown as the Great Perfection. Here, everything is in the state of bodhichitta. One perfection is all perfection. Without effort, all meaning is perfected. The nature is spontaneously perfected, self-arisen wisdom. In the nature of awareness, all the phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana are spontaneously perfected. As it says in the Letterless Sutra: "I have no birth or death, therefore the dharma of cessation is completely perfected. I have no outer or inner, therefore the dharma of clarity is completely perfected. I have no emptiness or substance, therefore the dharma of appearance is completely perfected. I have no object of focus, therefore the dharma of seeing is completely perfected. I have no body or mind, therefore the dharma of self-appearance is completely perfected. I have no self or other, therefore

The Dharma of wisdom is completely perfect, because I have no cause for action. Great contemplation is completely perfect, because I have no place to go. Self-appearing realm is completely perfect, because I have no partiality or discrimination. Secret wisdom is completely perfect, because my appearances are without cessation. The three Dharmas of space are completely perfect, because I have no one or two. The Dharmas of bindus are completely perfect, because I have no darkness or light. The Dharmas of manifest appearance are complete, because I have no self-grasping or discrimination. The Dharma of emptiness is completely perfect, because I have no two stains. The five Dharmas of clarity are completely perfect, because I have no expansion or contraction. The meanings of letters are completely perfect. Thus it is said. If it is shown that the measure of appearance does not cease, and the way it is perfected is merely as an appearance on the face of Bodhicitta, then in the Six Spaces it is also said: In the nature of mind that has birth, The appearance of the six realms arises spontaneously, Therefore, grasping various forms, The appearance matures into form, complete. In the nature of mind that has cessation, Impermanence arises spontaneously as a cause, In the appearance without self-nature, It is complete like a dream. In the nature of mind that has elaboration, Various appearances arise spontaneously, In the appearance of each of the five senses, It is complete from the aspect of grasping its own ground. In the nature of mind that can be shown, Sounds, words, and names arise spontaneously, Concepts and minds are self-purified, The secret instructions of the Lama are complete. In the nature of mind that can be seen, Various arising conditions arise spontaneously, In the realm of appearance, it is manifestly apparent, It is complete in its unmixed, self-luminous nature. In the nature of mind that is continuous, The aggregates of appearance arise separately, In the great union, they are self-connected, It is complete with the possession of unfailing retention. In the nature of mind that is in the realm, All appearances arise spontaneously, The two graspings of self are self-purified, The six realms are each complete. In the nature of mind that can be expressed, Calm abiding and insight arise spontaneously, In equipoise and afterwards, Immovable contemplation is self-complete. In the nature of mind that can be viewed, Existence and appearance arise spontaneously as one, The three realms are liberated in their own place, Ati is complete in its great self-abiding. In the nature of mind that can be attained, Hope itself is self-purified, Free from effort and practice, The three bodies are well-perfected in oneself. Can be counted
