Without expectation or doubt, in the state of self-liberation and equality, the instruction is given to settle into that vast, unconditioned, natural state as the single key. As it is said in "The Lion's Roar of Perfect Skill": The supreme meaning of pervasive, all-encompassing essence, Dissolves into the equal realm, into the natural state. Boundless meaningful activity, the ground of self-aware great bliss, Essence and appearance dissolve into the expanse of the body. Nature is all-pervasive, appearing limitlessly in space, Uncontaminated, spontaneous, free from the extremes of elaboration. Clarity of space and awareness, nature is pervasive and vast, Not a dharma of doing and acting, transcending the realm. Spontaneously accomplished, self-arising, ultimately enjoying all. And so forth. Also, as it is said in "The All-Creating King": O teacher of teachers, All-Creating King! Within the unconditioned retinue, the prophecy was given: The unconditioned essence is the root of all dharmas, How it appears is how it is ascertained. If the meaning of the single essence is realized, The nature of all is gathered into the All-Creating itself. And so forth. Therefore, the dharmakaya, free from acceptance and rejection, is the essence of the meaning that transcends activity, and is also the naturally arising wisdom of awareness. Its nature, self-luminous and pure, is the uncreated sambhogakaya, as it is taught: The self-luminous, unmoving, perfect enjoyment body, Whatever appears is naturally and spontaneously accomplished. Without fabrication or transformation, spontaneously equal and vast. The self-face of awareness abiding in self-luminosity is the spontaneously arising sambhogakaya. Therefore, it is the unconditioned great equality, the empty-clear, unchanging nature. Similarly, the way awareness manifests, without interruption, arises from the beginning as the nirmanakaya, from the various, unmixed, playful manifestations. The nirmanakaya is the meaning of the spontaneously arising, wondrous magic. The actionless Samantabhadra never wavers. Like the uninterrupted appearance on the clear surface of a mirror, yet without being stained by it, no matter how awareness manifests, the essence is not stained, and the power manifests without interruption, which is the nirmanakaya. The three bodies are perfected in the state of awareness, as it is said in "The All-Creating King": From the nature of my All-Creating Bodhi, Unsought, the nature is spontaneously accomplished, Which is the essence of all Buddhas, the three bodies. My nature is accomplished as the unconditioned dharmakaya, My essence is the unconditioned perfect enjoyment body, My compassion manifests as the three nirmanakayas, Not a result achieved by seeking, The three bodies are gathered into my All-Creating, How

All phenomena that appear are, by their very nature, essence, and uncreated compassion, shown to be my three kayas as they are. Furthermore, as it is said in the "Unwritten Letter," "My five kayas self-arise, perfecting the dharmadhatu and buddhafields." When it is explained that the kayas and wisdoms of the dharmadhatu are spontaneously perfect, some who are ignorant and whose study and contemplation are impure say with great vehemence, "If sentient beings now possess the kayas and wisdoms of the Buddha in perfection, that would be very good, but it is impossible!" This is like thinking that the sun does not exist when it is obscured by clouds. Therefore, one should not argue with such ignorant people. However, you should not be alarmed. If the qualities of spontaneous perfection were not present in the essence, from what direction would the Buddha newly arise? Maitreya also said, "Uncompounded and spontaneously accomplished." Also, as it is said in the "Two Examinations Tantra," "Sentient beings are themselves buddhas, but they are obscured by adventitious stains. When these are removed, they are buddhas." This is known from such scriptural statements. We do not assert that these qualities are present now in adventitious purity. Therefore, with a single-pointed mind, one should aspire to the Dharma of the qualities of intrinsic purity. Just as in Vaishali, the Bhagavan said that monks who were not of the Dharma should aspire to the side of the Dharma. Now, the mind of rigpa, bodhichitta, is shown to be inseparable from the kayas and wisdoms: In the nature of bodhichitta, which is without precipices, although the three kayas are spontaneously perfect without effort, they do not move from the dharmadhatu, spontaneously accomplished and uncompounded. Although the kayas, wisdoms, and activities are spontaneously perfect, it is the great expanse of the Great Perfection, the Primordial Perfection, the Great Primordial Arising. From the very beginning, the nature of rigpa is spontaneously perfect with the kayas and wisdoms. Like the sun and its rays, it is unchanging. This is self-arisen wisdom, the nature of the inexhaustible wheel of ornaments of body, speech, and mind. From the "Lion's Roar of Accomplishment": "By expressing the meaning of one rigpa, the three kayas appear as the nature of the victorious ones. From the kayas arise wisdom and miracles. Appearance and non-appearance are not Dharma. Realization and non-realization are freed from extremes. The wisdom of appearance abides in its nature. The self arises unpolluted by conditions. The wisdom of appearance"
