One should not befriend! Thus, it is advised to abandon. The characteristics of the student who receives it are: having the signs of being able to uphold the teachings. Therefore, by entrusting this essence of the essence to him, the teachings will abide for a long time, and it will lead countless beings to the path of enlightenment, and this tradition will not decline, which is accomplished by the common merit and special merit of sentient beings. As it is said in the Madhyamaka: The one who sees, meditates, and holds, is endowed with great faith and diligence, is able to give and respects the Guru (藏文,梵文天城体:गुरु,梵文罗马拟音:guru,汉语字面意思: गुरु ), is endowed with asceticism and is wary of sin, and holds with unwavering steadfastness. Or, one who is patient, slow in speech, easygoing, has the slowness of a fool, is small in thoughts and slow in nature, has little activity of body and speech, and is endowed with wisdom will be able to hold it. Thus it is said. Also, as it is said in the Jeweled Garland: One who has coarse limbs and black complexion, teeth that are white and well-aligned, eyes that are slightly red, and hair that has great characteristics, swirls to the right and is dark brown, has little respect for the body, has ordinary external behavior, speaks words that flow naturally, or, all forms of words, just as one speaks, that person also speaks in the same way. It is said that this is the teaching of the Great Perfection instructions. If these qualities are all present in one person, whether they are of the butcher caste, or the prostitute caste, or the garbage sweeper caste, no matter which bad caste they belong to, entrust them with this secret essence. Thus it is said. Now, the sky peg that gathers the definitive meaning of the instructions into the great natural state of "just as it is": In short, for whatever appears, objects, mind, and conditions, without introducing antidotes, without abandoning them through effort, self-abiding, just as it is, self-settled, is the key to awareness. Conditions appearing and dissolving in their own place, self-settled, is what arises from the key to naked awareness. The bondage of ordinary people and the path of liberation for yogis arising is the special quality of this teaching that arises from the ground. As it is said in the Great Garuda: The path of unobstructed, natural, just as it is, without defilement, unseen, unequaled, is the essence of all wisdom. Not relying on grasping illusion as an object, the nature of being unobstructed by objects is the trace of the heart essence. Without examining empty objects, abiding in one's own place and being liberated. Thus it is said. The key to self-awareness being liberated without being defiled by anything, the body, mind, and afflictions are their own nature, children who do not understand will consider it as

And I too. The naturally abiding, uncorrected, genuine self-awareness. Primordially self-liberated, no one can destroy it. Since it's self-liberated in its own place without needing liberation, what need is there for effort? Primordially self-liberated, it is the very absence of a cause for liberation. Evil deeds and non-virtue are even greater companions to the ripening of happiness. Not seeking self-power, effortless is the key point. This very thing, without support, who does virtue benefit? There is no Buddha, and by whom is the cause of bondage bound? Delusion and ignorance, who has them, sentient beings, there is not even a name. Therefore, primordially unliberated, there is no later liberation. Thus it is. If one becomes accustomed to the truth of suchness, it is said to be a great spectacle for the mind. As it says in the Six Spaces: The fortunate yogi who meditates on truth, finds the jewel that no one has found. This has immeasurable value. The person who meets with immeasurable wealth, sees the appearance that no one has seen. This very thing is a great spectacle of self-awareness. Thus, the mind has a great spectacle. Phenomena are struck into pieces by a broom. Who cuts phenomena into pieces? This grasps self-awareness with the palm of the hand. The being who is grasped in this way is: Buddha before even the Buddhas. In the mandala of bliss, whoever is able to see, will become the lord of all vidyas. Thus it is said. Phenomena in pieces are whatever appears, whatever is seen, individually. Striking with a broom is self-illuminating thought. The hailstone that mixes happiness and suffering into one taste is: All happiness and suffering are the ways in which awareness appears. By grasping at taking and rejecting, one is bound in existence. Just as it is unreasonable to grasp at taking and rejecting the two waves that arise from the same water, it is unreasonable to grasp at happiness as something to be taken and suffering as something to be rejected from the same awareness. Because attachment and aversion are the cause of samsara, they are the same. In Distinguishing Freedom it says: All happiness and suffering are the magical displays of awareness, and it is also a delusion to grasp at taking and rejecting. Thus it is said. In The All-Creating King it says: Do not take happiness, do not reject suffering. Why is that? Because whatever appears, appears equally as mere clarity before the senses. Whatever arises, the mind is equal, merely without the trace of memory and awareness. The two are immediately equal, negation and affirmation are merely bondage. In essence, they are profoundly equal, merely rootless appearances. All objects are equally undifferentiated, when examined, there is no trace. All minds are equally undifferentiated, when analyzed, they are like the sky. Object and mind are non-dual, the space is pure. Thus, who knows, the lineage of Samantabhadra? Victorious Ones
