He said: If the qualities of peace can be expressed, that is the language of the sage, and there will be no other changes. This is how it is established. The Buddhas are eternally present, benefiting beings to be tamed. The teachings of blessings, from mountains, trees, lotuses, wish-fulfilling trees, as well as men, women, boys, girls, birds, and wild animals, emit sounds of various Dharma categories. If these are all considered to be the Buddha's teachings, then one should not mistakenly think that what happened in the past cannot happen now, because blessings are possible to arise. Therefore, whatever one trusts, one should firmly hold onto and practice as a yidam, but one should never slander others. Regarding the origin of the Nyingma tantras, some say that Vajrapani empowered a king named Dza in the land of Zahor, on Mount Malaya, and rained down a shower of scriptures, making them visible in the human realm. Among them, the gathering of the intentions of all Buddhas, and the manifestation of the Net of Illusions, etc., occurred in great abundance. Just as it is said in the Prophecy of Intentions: In the southeastern border of Jambudvipa, among the people, the most fortunate of the net, Vajrapani will teach the king named Dza. Furthermore, the Vajrasattva Underground Tantra says: Combining the cause with the Dharma of the cause, after revolving like a wheel, the path of the fruition vehicle will appear in the future. This is also in accordance with the above statement. If the things that happened in the past were fabricated, then what was the basis for their creation? If that is the case, then the things that appear later will also become fabricated, because they are no better than the things that came before. It is only that the words are slightly different, or the quantity is more or less. Therefore, many accomplished masters have emerged from these great new and old tantras, and the lineage of empowerment and blessings has not been interrupted, so it is truly authentic. These masters have composed many commentaries and instructions, so they should be trusted. Know that in India there is only the name "mantra," and there is no distinction between "new" and "old," but in Tibet, due to the order of translation, there are different designations. From the scriptures translated during the early dissemination period by Vairotsana and others, up to the tantras translated by Pandit Smrti, they are called Nyingma.

It is believed so. The tantras translated from the translator Rinchen Zangpo onwards are known as the New Tantras. The difference between these two, such as the ease of understanding and the extent of measuring the vastness of the sphere, is that the former translators were emanations of the Buddha, so they appeared vast because they could translate freely. The later translators were scholars who appeared in the manner of ordinary people, so the words were strict and difficult to understand. They only translated according to the order of the words in the Indian texts, and could not transform the meaning, so that's how it happened. From the Treasury of Precious Tenets, which clarifies the meaning of all vehicles, the fifth chapter, which explains the meaning of secret mantras. Secondly, there are two aspects to the classification of secret mantras: the classification of the New Secret Mantras and the classification of the Old Secret Mantras. The first has four aspects: the general nature of secret mantras, the divisions, the differences between outer and inner, and the specific explanation of the inner. First, the general nature has four aspects: the basis of the definition, the definition, the etymology, and the categories of names. First, the basis of the definition is: the nature of clear light, the inseparable sphere of body and wisdom, the naturally pure nature, and all the dharmas that depend on it, including all that is to be purified and all that purifies. It also includes four aspects: the basis of purification, what is to be purified, what purifies, and the result of purification. The nature of the clear light of the sphere, the naturally pure nature, is the basis of purification. The sudden obscurations of karma and afflictions, all the dharmas of samsara, including the eight aggregates of alaya consciousness, are the impurities to be purified. Among them, the alaya consciousness with various habitual tendencies is the root of samsara, so it must be reversed. Although the meaning of the alaya consciousness of the nature of reality does not reverse, the part of the name that is designated as the alaya consciousness of terms will reverse and become the wisdom of the sphere of dharma. The way in which the remaining four wisdoms arise from the part of the other consciousnesses that reverse has already been explained. By bestowing the four ripening empowerments, and by meditating on the generating and completion stages that liberate, the parts that newly generate qualities, and the parts that belong to the path of wisdom, are the dharmas that purify. Having purified in this way, all the obscurations of the sphere are purified, and it is transformed into the realm of enlightenment, and the spontaneously accomplished body and wisdom manifest, and the nature of accomplishing the two benefits of oneself and others lies in the realm.
