Also, from the *Buddha-uṣṇīṣa Tantra*: Therefore, the wise yogi, With a mind of intense application, Even if siddhis are not attained in this life, Siddhis will be attained in another life. Thus it is said. The lowest of the middling attains liberation in seven lives, from the *Guhyagarbha Tantra*: If empowerment is perfectly endowed with generosity, Empowerment will occur in life after life. By that, in seven lives, Even without practice, accomplishment will occur. Thus it is said. Even the lowest of the lowest attains accomplishment in sixteen lives, from the *Vajraśekhara Tantra*: What is not attained in countless eons By the vehicle of the pāramitās, If that yogi strives, He will attain nirvāṇa in this very life. Or, merely by seeing, In sixteen lives, nirvāṇa is attained. An ordinary being becomes a Buddha, It will be accomplished, not otherwise. Thus it is said. Second, establishing the result through supreme means: For example, the work that one person does diligently in seven days, another person accomplishes in an instant through skillful means. Although the effort of those two actions differs in magnitude, their essence is the same. Likewise, the śamatha and vipaśyanā that are accomplished through intense effort in the characteristics, which cannot be accomplished in years and months, are accomplished after a long time, and abiding in equanimity, etc. However, in the path of mantra, in just one day and night, one can actually ascertain the arising stage from the key points of the body and channels. Therefore, it is established as taking the result as the path. From the *Padmaśekhara Tantra*: What is not accomplished with great difficulty, Because of the correct application in an instant, Without relying on past causes, Because the result arises from the key points, It is called the Result Vehicle. Thus it is said. Third, establishing the Result Vehicle by taking what is similar to the result itself as the path: When the Buddha is free from all defilements, the form and wisdom are inseparable, and the qualities of the field are fully manifested. By meditating on something similar to that, by the power of purifying the defilements that exist in that way in the dharmadhātu, it is manifested. Therefore, it is called the Result Vehicle. From that very tantra: The nature of the undefiled dharmadhātu, Possessing the three kāyas, wisdom, and fields, When it is pure, In that very moment, Self-luminous manifestation arises, And taking what is similar to this as the path, It is rightly called the Result Vehicle. Thus it is said. The supreme result of the nature of dharmadhātu, from the very beginning,

Based on understanding the nature of abiding, it is called the Resultant Vehicle in order to study that very nature. That is to say, relying on the removal of defilements, one cultivates the generation stage and the completion stage, and by practicing that very nature, one purifies the adventitious defilements. Therefore, although the deities and mandalas, etc., that are meditated upon by the mind are manifestations of one's own mind, they are not meditated upon by taking the deity and mandala of the fruition of space as the actual path, but because they are close to the meaning of that space, they are regarded as the profound and infallible path. Therefore, although space cannot be taken as the actual path and is similar to the Causal Vehicle, the difference between similarity and dissimilarity makes a great difference in the proximity of the path. For example, if a jewel and a lamp are placed together at night, and two thieves, attracted by the light, are attached to the jewel and try to steal it, the foolish thief gets the lamp, while the wise thief gets the jewel. Similarly, there is a great difference in the cause of quickly obtaining or not obtaining the desired result. As it is said in the Pramāṇavārttika: "Although approaching the light of a jewel or a lamp with the thought of a jewel is no different from a false view, there is a difference in how it accomplishes the purpose." Thus it is taught. Therefore, here the result is the body, speech, and mind, and the way to manifest what is similar to them is as follows: First, at the time of empowerment, the qualified master, having performed the recitation, the ground ritual, and the preparations, then draws the mandala, performs the practice, and makes offerings. After that, the master himself takes self-entry, then leads the disciples in, bestows vows and precepts, and manifests wisdom, which is the manifestation of the mind. Offering flowers, uncovering the face covering, and showing the mandala is the manifestation of the body. After the empowerment, giving the subsequent permission of mantras and mudras is called the manifestation of speech. By bestowing the four empowerments on the three doors of body, speech, and mind, the defilements are purified, and the body, speech, and mind are manifested. That is, first receiving the empowerment, and at the time of the path of liberation, continuously meditating on it and knowing the nature of the three bodies and five wisdoms, it is called taking the result as the path. As it is said in the Guhyagarbha Tantra: "All the mandalas of knowable objects are the Great Secret Mantra Vehicle, which is the complete accomplishment of the three bodies, entering into the three bodies themselves, the result."
