It is impossible to know the container and its contents, because they are produced by the afflictions and karma of sentient beings, and because all impure appearances have been transformed into purity." "Is the wisdom of the Buddha omniscient wisdom? If it is, then not knowing the illusions of beings is a contradiction. If it is not, then the wisdom of the Buddha is diminished. Therefore, all these views are not correct because they only see similarities or arise from not seeing differences. Second, establishing the correct view is divided into two: the way of seeing the knowable and refuting arguments. The first is that, in terms of self-appearance, all illusions are extremely pure, so not even a trace of illusion is seen, because illusion has been completely abandoned and not established. In terms of the illusion of other-appearance, the way each being appears, including cause and effect, is known as clearly as if an Emblica fruit were placed in the palm of the hand. Moreover, one wisdom knows all the appearances of self and others simultaneously, because it is omniscient wisdom. In the Two Truths it is said: "With a single moment of wisdom, one pervades the entire mandala of the knowable." The meaning of these two can be understood by an example: For example, in a palace decorated with infinite treasures, there are two brothers. The elder brother woke up earlier, and he had the psychic power to know the minds of others. In his dream, the younger brother also fell asleep and dreamed of the illusions of the six realms, various kinds of happiness, suffering, and intermediate states. At that time, the younger brother had not yet woken up, and even waking him up was useless. The elder brother then manifested as gods and others, enjoying happiness and suffering, and in front of him manifested as a renunciate or a Brahmin, or a man or a woman, or a Buddha or a Hearer or Solitary Realizer, or a Bodhisattva, or an ordinary person, or any other form, and then taught the Dharma, saying: "Alas! All conditioned things are impermanent, without essence, and not truly existent. Do not cling to this false illusion as true, practice the Dharma." And so on, through such teachings, abandoning non-virtue and practicing virtue, just like constantly transmigrating.

Just like in the Ra-snang period, being reborn in the heavenly realms to enjoy bliss and becoming a practitioner of the Dharma, temporarily gaining happiness. However, as sleep gradually lightens, due to recognizing samsara as false, upon waking up, one can still see oneself dreaming without having left the original bed. One also remembers the deeds done by the brother through emanations. Although there is no inherent good or bad in the brother and the deeds themselves, it is merely a temporary appearance of good and bad. It's like two brothers laughing and talking about the matter. Buddhas and sentient beings equally possess the palace of the Tathagatagarbha wisdom, but this should be understood as being akin to suddenly being obscured, with a distinction between being half-asleep and half-awake. Furthermore, regarding the two ways of knowing the knowable (She-bya): Knowing the suchness (Ji-lta-ba mkhyen-pa) refers to the wisdom of the Buddha severing all elaborations such as arising and ceasing, and the superimpositions of clinging to characteristics, regarding the nature of all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, thereby realizing that not even a single knowable, including its own nature, is apprehended manifestly. This is called knowing the suchness of the Dharma. As stated in the Sutra: "Not seeing anything is seeing the Dharma." Shantideva (Zhi-ba-lha) said: "When things and non-things, do not abide before the mind, at that time, there is no other aspect, utterly pacified without an object." Knowing the extent (Ji-snyed-pa mkhyen-tshul) refers to the wisdom of the Buddha, without moving from equipoise, manifestly knowing all knowables as illusory. This is called knowing the extent. As stated in the Sutra: "The object of the all-knowing wisdom is the absence of things." This is not knowing by clinging to individual objects like sense consciousnesses, but rather knowing all phenomena with a single essence of wisdom. As stated in the Avatamsaka Sutra: "The unsurpassed wisdom of the Buddhas, in an instant knows all meanings." The knowables of the three times are not known sequentially, but are known all at once. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Just as a single ray of sunlight, illuminates all beings, likewise, to all knowables, the Buddha's wisdom shines all at once." These are all seen without moving from the state of equipoise, therefore there is no subsequent attainment wisdom (rjes-thob mtshan-nyid-pa), because the habits of distraction are to be abandoned. As stated in that very text: The Able One
