When that wisdom is first attained, a great joy is obtained that is superior to before, which is called the Utmost Joy. As the Ornament of the Sutras says: "Being close to enlightenment, seeing the meaning of beings accomplished, Utmost Joy arises, therefore it is called Utmost Joy." Thus. If divided, it is those with the nature of sixteen moments in the order of the four truths. There are five special dharmas, the first is the distinction of the opponents, the four dharma-kṣāntis are the uninterrupted path of the opponent that eradicates the seeds of what is to be abandoned by seeing from the root. The four dharma-jñānas are the path of liberation of the opponent of the basis. The four subsequent kṣāntis and the four subsequent jñānas are the special path of the opponent that extends the distance. That is, there is dharma-jñāna for suffering, the four dharma-jñānas of origin, cessation, and path. Just as the essence of one intelligence is established as four in relation to the differences of the four truths. "The subsequent kṣānti of those," "The subsequent jñāna is also the same." The distinction of what is to be abandoned has two aspects: essence and types. The essence is the liberation from the two parts of the afflictive obscurations and the cognitive obscurations of what is to be abandoned by seeing that has become one's own share. As the Middle Extremes says: "The obscuration of afflictions and, the obscuration of what is to be known are taught as two, in that place all obscurations, when that is exhausted, it is considered liberation." Thus. The essence of those is, as the Treatise on the Lineage says: "Whatever conceptualizations such as miserliness, are considered the obscuration of afflictions, whatever conceptualization of the three circles, that is considered the obscuration of what is to be known." Therefore, whatever does not pacify the mind well, is unwholesome, or the essence of what is not obscured and unspecified, such as miserliness, is the afflictive obscuration. Whatever is not separated from the clinging to truth to the three circles, is wholesome and contaminated, or the essence of what is not obscured and unspecified, the conceptualization of the grasper and the grasped, the object and the subject, is the cognitive obscuration. Among those, the imputed afflictive obscurations are what is to be abandoned by seeing, and the innate is what is to be abandoned by meditation. The gross conceptualizations of the grasper and the grasped of the cognitive obscurations are what is to be abandoned by seeing, and the subtle ones are what is to be abandoned by meditation. The second is that there are three types: the definition of what is to be abandoned by seeing, the classification, and how to abandon it. The first is whatever is imputed that becomes a harm to the path of seeing. There are three types of classification, from the perspective of essence there are six:

Views. Attachment. Anger. Pride. Ignorance. Doubt. Divided according to the way they enter wrongly, there are five: view of the perishable aggregate, view of holding to extremes, wrong view, view of holding views as supreme, and view of holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme. And five non-views: attachment, anger, pride, ignorance, and doubt, making ten in total. If divided according to object, realm, and the way they enter wrongly, there are one hundred and twelve to be abandoned by seeing." "That is, when the five views enter the four truths, such as the truth of suffering in the desire realm, the five non-views follow accordingly, each having ten, so there are forty. In the four truths of the two upper realms, except for anger, nine each enter. Therefore, in the four truths of the meditative realm, there are thirty-six, and in the four truths of the formless realm, there are thirty-six, totaling one hundred and twelve." "In the Compendium of Topics, it says: The one hundred and twelve afflictions are a category of afflictions to be abandoned by seeing. The way to abandon them is that the seeds of what is to be abandoned by seeing are abandoned by the concordant qualities of ascertainment, in a way that suppresses them." "The way to eradicate them is to abandon them with the forbearance of knowing the Dharma, etc. That is, the seeds of what is to be abandoned by seeing, which gather simultaneously with the actual cause of the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of the four truths, act as the proximate cause. That actual cause acts as the cooperative condition, and produces the seeds that are simultaneous with the Dharma forbearance, which are severed. Since it is destroyed in an instant without needing another destroyer, in the second instant, one obtains the transformation of the basis of liberation from the seeds of what is to be abandoned by seeing through the knowledge of the Dharma. The four subsequent forbearances and the four subsequent knowledges are the antidotes to the very subtle objects to be abandoned, which arise after the first two wisdoms of the path of seeing. Liberation from the seeds is what extends the objects to be abandoned. That is, depending on the moment of each of the four truths and what is to be abandoned, it acts as a gradual antidote to defilements. Depending on the arising of wisdom, the two paths of uninterruptedness and liberation, when the Dharma forbearance arises, since one sees what was not seen, it is established as the path of seeing. The objects to be abandoned by them are suppressed by encountering the capable and the lineage of wisdom. They are weakened by encountering the incapable and the actual cause. Wisdom truly arises.
