It is said that it has the nature of existence. Thus it is said. What are the five faults? They are discouragement, contempt for inferior sentient beings, incorrect grasping, and disparagement of the correct Dharma. The remaining five faults of us, whatever exists, are spoken of for the purpose of eliminating them. That is because not seeing the essence of Bodhicitta existing in oneself, being discouraged thinking that someone like me cannot attain Buddhahood, therefore not generating Bodhicitta, and even if generated, thinking that I am just an ordinary Bodhisattva, despising sentient beings, thereby hindering the attainment of higher paths. Due to clinging to the extreme view of emptiness, one cannot enter the Dharma realm of the ultimate nature, therefore one cannot grasp correctly; due to falling into permanence and annihilation, one disparages the correct Dharma; due to not seeing oneself and sentient beings as equal, the fault of clinging to self and others arises. Just like this, it is because of not hearing, due to the fault of despising oneself, some people's minds will be discouraged and Bodhicitta will not arise. For those who have generated Bodhicitta, if they think they are superior to others, they will have inferior ideas about those who have not generated Bodhicitta. Like this, for this kind of mentality, correct knowledge will not arise, therefore one cannot grasp correctly, nor can one realize the correct meaning. Because it is false and temporary, the faults of sentient beings are not real. Reality is selflessness, the nature of qualities is pure. Clinging to unreal faults, disparaging the real Dharma, wise people will not treat themselves and sentient beings equally, and will not be able to obtain loving-kindness. Thus it is said. If one knows that such a nature is spontaneously accomplished in oneself and others, one will understand that it is not difficult to accomplish the liberation of one's own mind, thereby generating joy, respecting all sentient beings like Buddhas, benefiting them on the basis of not harming and injuring, and being able to accomplish the benefit of others by realizing the wisdom of the ultimate truth, as well as the wisdom of seeing reality, and expanding the mandala of immeasurable loving-kindness. Just like this, this arises from hearing, generating joy and respect like treating a teacher, as well as wisdom, realization, and great loving-kindness. Because the five Dharmas arise, therefore from it, there is no fault, like looking at equality, without faults, possessing qualities, treating oneself and sentient beings equally, quickly attaining the fruit of Buddhahood. Thus it is said. The classification of lineages

Therefore, it should not be regarded as literal meaning, but should be understood as ultimate meaning. This place highly values the Mahayana Dharma, and it is difficult to understand, so it is explained in detail here. Secondly, how sentient beings generate Bodhicitta has three aspects: one should know the nature of generating Bodhicitta; one should know how to generate it after knowing it; and the order of precepts to be protected. The first has two aspects: the basis and the nature. The former, as the Mind-Only School says, those who have the seven kinds of Pratimoksha vows are regarded as the basis of the body. The Lamp for the Path says: "Those who always have the seven kinds of Pratimoksha vows have the share of the Bodhisattva vows, otherwise they do not." So it is. The Madhyamaka School believes that even gods, nagas, etc. who have faith in Mahayana and want to attain Buddhahood can generate Bodhicitta. The Eight Thousand Prajnaparamita Sutra says: "At that time, the son of the gods, Nikri, generated the supreme Bodhicitta." The Sea Dragon King Sutra says: "Twenty-two thousand nagas generated Bodhicitta." And so on. The Intermediate Mother Sutra says: "At that time, countless beings such as gods, nagas, non-gods, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas all generated the supreme Bodhicitta." The basis for the Bodhicitta that has already been generated can be any of the five realms of beings. The Bhadrakalpa Sutra says: "When the Victorious One transformed into a village chief for the benefit of others, the Tathagata Sonam O, having taken the vow to abstain from killing for one day, first generated the supreme Bodhicitta." So it is. If you ask: Is it necessary to have the Pratimoksha vows as the basis for generating Bodhicitta? Answer: This is the Bodhicitta of the Madhyamaka School, but merely abstaining from killing for one day is not the Pratimoksha vow. It is based on that root of virtue to generate Bodhicitta, but it is not said as a basis. The basis of intention is to have a special mind of merit such as faith. Secondly, the nature has three aspects: essence, cause, and effect. The former has definition, classification, and individual meaning, three aspects. The former, what is the definition of the mind of the Mahayana path? Definition: It can be called Bodhicitta. To attain perfect Buddhahood for the benefit of others.
